I have two completely unrelated announcements today…

OK, how cool is THIS! For a limited time Vitalicious is offering a Roni’s Favorite Package! It has all of my favorite VitaTops in it. Four each of Deep Chocolate, Golden Corn, Triple Chocolate Chunk, Dark Chocolate Pomegranate, Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip, and Double Chocolate Dream. The only products missing from the pack that I’d consider on my favorites list are the brownie and chocolate muffin mixes. (are you seeing a theme here? Ummm chocolate!) ;~P In all seriousness, this is an exclusive offer for my readers ONLY, the only way to purchase the Ronis Favorite Pack is from this link! Remember, use the RonisWeigh code for 10% off!

The other announcement is coming completely out of left field. Yesterday I mentioned I was going to start tracking my food journal on twitter. I’m always online anyway, so why not? Plus you know I’ll confess anything and everything. So I’m hoping it makes me reconsider my night time snack choices. Where is this going? Well, I had a brainstorm today! What if we are able to tweet what we eat and then have the table for our blogs generated automatically? Wouldn’t that be cool? Well I’m almost done with a prototype and if you’d be willing I’d love for you guys to test for me!

So today I’m all about my first product and my new blog tool. I’ve been working non-stop only taking a break for family dinner and a boot camp! I even made some progress on the cook book today! Can you tell I’m excited? :~) I’m in one of those motivated moods!

Ok, I’m off to work on the "Tweet what you eat" tool. If you want to see my food journal check out my twitter feed for now. Just scroll down to see the "Food:" posts.

Ok, What a day! First, that Gosh Darn (boy do I want to say something harsher) email problem is ticking (again, think much harsher) me off. I thought it was fixed and then BLAM I check the site only to see about 10 comments that weren’t in my inbox. AAACK! As a developer, the worst kind of problems are inconsistent ones. I am totally out of ideas. However, I did add a subscribe option to comments (please let me know if it’s working) and I’ve been learning a lot of other tricks while debugging. So, it’s not a total loss, I am learning a lot, just NOT GETTING EMAILS. Ok, I’m not stewing on this any longer. I’m going to subscribe to the “everything happens for a reason” mentality and roll with the punches.

If that wasn’t enough I found out some disturbing news at work (my consulting job) and I’m traveling to Toronto next week (that actually wasn’t the most disturbing but I’m not going to go into it) for business. It was a little unexpected as I thought the trip wouldn’t be until the end of the month. So now this means I have my girls trip to the Atlantic City Sun-Tues and then Canada Wed-Fri. What the heck?!?! I’m going to be exhausted and so far behind. Not to mention I won’t see the toddler that whole time and at this age, he seems to grow so fast. I’m going to miss SO much!

So, what else is going on that’s not crazy? Well, if you didn’t notice I went a little post happy today. I finally had a minute to post my conversation with Babs. I really think many young women feel that way, I know I did. I hope to at least bring some attention to that train of thought as I know it really affect my choices for a majority of my and life and sometimes still does.

I also posted my first of three video sessions that I recorded the other day. I’m still working on the iTunes podcast thing, just waiting for them to approve my feed. I have no idea how long that can take.

Oh! and I forgot, I did a guest post over on DietsInReview and answered some Weight Watchers Frequently Asked Questions! I guess, you can say, I just like to answer questions! ;~P

Today, I did have a case of the munchies AND I didn’t make it to the gym like I wanted. I feel like I’m losing a little gym momentum and I need something to kick me in the butt. However, I controlled my munchies with my favorite smoothie and I did walk twice today when I could have driven. So overall I’m making good decisions even when I’m not. Does that make any sense? Ok, it’s late and I’m getting delirious!

*sigh* Why oh why does something always seem to go haywire when I just start to get ahead? Seriously? A few days ago I mentioned getting hit by a hacker. To combat, I upgraded my WordPress installation hopefully increasing my security a bit and then, BANG! now I don’t get email notifications when you guys leave a comment. I’ve been debugging the problem for 2 days straight and I’m throwing my hands up. For the first time in my life I’m really stumped. Usually I figure these things out, sometime it may take me awhile but this is beyond “awhile”. I’m really stumped. So I will not be able to reply via email currently but I will reply to comments in the comments. I just hope I catch them all!

Anyway, I won’t bother you with any more boring details about it. I’ll bore you with these boring details instead. ;~P

There is just SO much happening.

I just posted this weeks video over on GreenLiteBites, Blueberry-Mango “Crisp”. There’s a short surprise in the end. It isn’t much but the husband makes a short cameo.

While on the video topic, I recorded 3 Ask Roni sessions today. I’m working on extracting the audio so I can post podcasts. I’m trying to figure the whole thing out and I hope to post the first one tomorrow.

My garden is FINALLY producing a plethora of produce. Tomatoes, green beans and a zucchini the size of a baseball bat came out today. I LOVE having my small garden but I wish I had more time for it. I’m weeded over and the japanese beetles are having a field day!

On the workout front, I feel like I’m slowly getting back up to my pre-surgery routine. Today I hit a step class and climbed the rock wall. Yesterday I ran a mile and lifted. I have to get my but in gear if I’m ever going to make my goals this year!

If you saw my recent video post, you saw how emotional I became trying to answer Bab’s question. Well, we’ve been emailing back and forth and I have her permission to share our conversation. I’m hoping it will help motivate those of us that struggle with our body image issues. Look for that tomorrow, I wanted to post it earlier but this darn email thing set me back.

Also keep an eye out for a new produce pick this week. I picked up a melon I never heard of before and I can’t wait to try it!

Finally, my food journal today. Hope you all had a great weekend!

phew What a day! My Sensational Sunday almost didn’t happen. Did you ever have a slow morning? A morning where you have to make that conscious decision to get up and get moving or you’re going to lose the day?

That’s what we had today.

Once I got out the door and towards the grocery store I was fine. The toddler and I hunted for new healthy snacks and fresh produce for the week. Then we headed home for lunch, picked our first crop of green beans from the garden, and headed for nap. Well the toddler did. I worked feverishly on this new site. Tagging old posts, fixing broken links, etc.

After nap it was off to run some errands. The husband (remind me in a few days to tell you about his workout/weight strides) and I decided on Panera for dinner. I really didn’t have it in me to cook. When we got back home we played Chutes and Ladders AND Candy Land, two of my all time favorites! After the toddler went to bed it was bill paying time, the husband and I’s *cough* favorite activity and then a little more work on the site. All in all, a productive day, which is a great day in my book!

I also did well on the food front. I say well, because as usual, I succumb to some night time munchies. More on that later. First, I have to do one of my update lists. I feel as if I have so much to tell you!

The new site. It’s getting there and I love that you guys like it. I spent more on it’s design then I think I ever have for one of my sites. GreenLiteBites didn’t even take this long! I am still updating old posts and fixing broken links. If you happen to get an error page have no fear, I will be notified and if you give me 24 hours, it will be fixed. It’s getting there and I’m SO happy I decided to move. I have so much more flexibility and control over the site now that it’s in WordPress and not Blogger.

What will happen to WeightWatchen you ask? well, I don’t plan on taking it down anytime soon. There is so much info up there that I didn’t/couldn’t transfer and some recipes that are not yet on GreenLiteBites. So I will be leaving it up for Archival purposes for at least the next few months until I can get everything transferred. I will not, however, be posting anything new there.

RSS/Subscriptions. If you are on my email subscription list, you SHOULD get them as usual just with the new name. If you subscribe via RSS you may have to re-subscribe. Sorry. :(

New/Old Features. If you’ve been with me awhile you may know about my site crash where I lost EVERYTHING. Well before that time, WeightWatchen was my outlet for all food/diet posts. I had recipes, tips, journal entries, food finds, etc. Much like now but more vast. The crash had me compromise a few thing. But just as someone pointed out in my comments, everything happens for a reason. I don’t think I would have created GreenLiteBites if the site didn’t crash. Now I have an outlet just for my food/recipes and I love that. It’s great for me to archive them. Why am I going down this path? Well, my new plan is to start posting food related posts here as well. I want to bring back my produce picks (maybe even move some over from GLB). I haven’t quite figured out which posts will go here and which there but I’m leaning towards only posting recipes on GLB and everything else here. So in essence GLB become just an interactive cookbook. OK, now I’m just thinking out loud, although I’d love your opinions on that one.

Funderwear. Ok, enough new site talk! I want to update on Funderwear Day! I’m happy to report the toddler took to “big boy underwear” like a ‘butt to a potty’. Sorry, bad joke. Seriously, he is doing well, dry at night, and no morning accidents after the first two days. I’m ECSTATIC! We even came up with a song that I had him record, if I have time I’ll post it. It goes something like…. “We go…. Pee pee in the potty, pee pee in the potty. No more diapers! No more pull-ups!” LOL you need the melody or it just sounds goofy! (Ok, I’m crossed the line into straight up parenting craziness! )

MizFit/Hungry Girl ShoutOut. If you happen to get the Hungry Girl Newsletter keep an eye out for MizFit’s Video link. I love both these gals and it’s fun to see some cross ‘weigh loss site’ intermingling.

Workout/Runing front. I don’t think I’ll be running for awhile. My swelling is still pretty bad BUT I WILL BE GOING TO THE GYM tomorrow for the first time in almost 3 weeks. (yelling at myself, I really need to go). I plan on doing upper body with free weights.

Backlog. This whole new site has set me back a tid bit on new posts and email correspondence. I’m behind on my blog reading, especially on BlogToLose, and my comment replies, even on my first/new post! I hope to catch up by the end of the week.

A Weigh In. I’m in desperate need of a meeting/weigh in. But I’m going to be honest. I’m scared. Yes, scared. I don’t want to see the scale. I know it’s going to be up in a range I haven’t been in a long time. The swelling, the lack of workouts, the EATING! Ohhhhh I don’t want to think about it. You know, the times you don’t want to go are the time you NEED to go. I’m committing to a Wednesday meeting this week.

Ok, I “talked” your ear off enough! I think I can go on and on. I leave you with my food journal. Two days in and feeling alright. Although I used more weekly points then I would like this early in the week.

Way back when I mentioned the husband’s love of my homemade spaghetti sauce. I mean he really loves this stuff. Between the months of October and April if it’s the only thing I made it would be the only thing he ate, no complaints. It’s quit hysterical, and flattering, I think. :~)

Anyway, now that the weather broke and it finally feels like fall, I made a huge batch. It was awesome. The smell through the house got me in the mood to bake so I made some Halloween Brownie Bites (I’ll post the recipe tomorrow). I truly LOVE being home on the weekends and cooking. It’s just a great time spent with the toddler, who by the way, appreciated both the sauce and the brownies! Nothing is more satisfying for me then to see the toddler eating good healthy food.

Besides cooking, I hit the gym and had a great workout this morning. The toddler has his tumble bees class Saturday morning at the Y and I’ve been taking advantage of the free child care afterwards.

Other news….

I’ve been working on a new site and I hope to have it ready in the next month or two. Since the “big crash”, I’ve lost the ability to customize WeightWatchen as much as I want to. I also realized there are quite a few recipes up here and I think we need a better way to access them, no? Along with the new site, I will be revamping some of my older food ideas. I think my recipe writing skills are getting better and more detailed since I started. I’m learning! ;~)

Oh! and keep an eye out on my DietDetective blog. My new post about “scale angst” should be up there soon,

That’s my Saturday news. I do plan on making tomorrow a Sensational Sunday! We are traveling to a local corn maize for a day trip. Every year we go, and every year we walk for about 2 hours straight. I love workouts that aren’t workouts!

I’ll be back tomorrow with the brownie pictures and Monday with my daily menus.

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Seriously how supportive can you guys get? I have to admit I was a little hesitant posting my thoughts on the surgery. It’s the kind of thing many people can be very critical about. I appreciate all your comments, concerns, support and insight. I really do.

Moving on. (notice I didn’t tell you I made a decision yet. ;~) Don’t worry, I’ll keep you posted)

I went to the gym AGAIN today! This time alone. The husband said, and I almost fell over when he did, “why don’t you go while I give the toddler his bath”. I was like, huh? What? You are offering “me” time. So I did what any working mother would do after coming home, cooking dinner and straightening up, I grabbed the keys, the ipod and headed out.

Not only did the husband nudge me to go, but he also complimented me today. Now I don’t know if he just made this up but he said I feel “tighter” as he touched my arm. Is this possible only after a week and half of working out? Don’t you have to put weeks, or even months, to start seeing results. I’m honestly asking because I really don’t know.

Actually now that I think about it seems he is buttering me up for something. I wonder what he wants? Golf this weekend? A new playstation game? It’s gotta be something. ;~)

On the food front, I haven’t been that hungry lately. I thought the opposite would happen since working out but I think returning to work has preoccupied me. I’ll be in my office working, look up and realize it’s 12:30 and I didn’t have any of my snacks. This is unlike me. Normally by noon, I’ve eaten at least one snack and I’d be hungry for lunch. Oh well, I’m not complaining. I’d rather be satisfied than constantly hungry, which is normally how I feel.

The only other thing I want to tell you about is some small site updates. I added a new Produce Picks section. I thought about it and with my addition of Jicama and Mango I want to post about my produce adventures. Especially considering I’m into trying new things, well new for me. There are a few fruits and veggies I find a bit intimidating and I hope it inspires you try some you may currently be scared of. Admit it, there are things you stay away from because you don’t know how to cut them or know they are ripe or just what to do with them. Am I right? Am I right? :~)
I also added a book review link. I’ve been reading a bit more books on food, diet and nutrition and want to share my thoughts. I’ll be posting a new one this week.

Ok, that’s enough, don’t you think? Time for bed. ‘night!

I still cannot believe it, two years of work down the drain, all your great blogs gone in an instant, the journal documenting my entire weight loss process gone, the message boards gone, my recipes. It’s a bit overwhelming. Ok that’s enough pouting. It happened. It’s over and I’m moving on!!

First thing I want to say is thank you SO much for all the supportive emails! You guys really are the BEST!

On to moving on, first, of course, the day the site goes down I have like a million things to tell you. I made a great new recipe (Portobello cherry stuffed pork) my “fanciest” yet! I will post it as soon as I get my new system down, which leaves me to my agenda… updates.

1.) My first task is to get some of my site rebuilt. I have all of the pictures and recipes on my hard drive and I was able to pull many of my pages from Google cache. Bear with me it will probably be a slow process. If there is a recipe you need, email me and let me know, I’ll move it to the top of my list.

2.) Rebuild the Boards. It will be the fastest thing I can to do to start rebuilding the community. It’s not as labor intensive as the blogs and I should be able to get them up fairly quickly. **biting my nails** I THINK!

3.) The last thing on the list is the blogs. This, by far, has been the hardest for me to swallow. We had over 400 AMAZING blogs! I’m not sure I have it in me to rebuild and have the responsibility of hosting them all for you again. Let’s see how things pan out.

There you have it. My loose rebuild plan. Of course the next three weeks are my busiest personally. First, I’m going to Vegas this week with “the girls”, next week I will be watching my niece (another toddler) and the week after that is our family outing to the beach. Where does the time go?

I did manage to journal today, although I nibbled a bit. I don’t have it in me to count points right now but here’s the morning weigh in and food list.

Morning Weigh In: 141.5

Berry VitaMuffin Cake (recipe will be resposted) and an orange

Fruit cup

2 ears of corn

2 mini corn muffins (recipe will be resposted)

Leftover big pot o’ stuff (recipe will be resposted)

8 oz light yogurt

100 cal pack

Portobello cherry stuffed pork (recipe to come) with a side of sugar snap peas

A handful of Doritos (total mindless splurge)

There you have it. I’m off to figure out the new system and start moving stuff.
