Progression Pics
This is my original Progresson photo page. My initial introduction was…
I can’t believe I’m doing this, but here is a pictorial journal of my weight loss. Starting with my before picture I plan on adding about 1 picture a month until I reach my goal weight.
It’s been over 6 years since I said that I love the fact that I can look back at these photos now. If you embarking on your own weight loss journey I highly recommend taking photographs, measurements or weigh-ins. Something that allows you to see your progress and celebrate how far you’ve come.
The notes below the photos are my original words when posting the photos.
Before Picture Taken 06/17/05

This might be the least flattering picture I have of myself. In defense, it was 2 days after the toddler was born, but god, does it make a great before picture! I am approx 225 pounds in this.
1 Month Taken on 07/23/05

This was taken at the shore. 4 days before I weighed in at 191.4.
7 Weeks Taken on 08/18/05

This as taken the day after I weigh-in at 183.2. I’ll have you know those are the first pair of jeans I’ve worn non maternity since about February!
13 Weeks Taken on 09/22/05

33.6 pounds gone! Taken the day after my weigh in at 173.2 pounds. Those shorts were un-wearable 8 weeks ago!
17 Weeks OP Taken 10/21/05

I took this 2 days after I weighed in at 168.4. These jeans are a size 12 I found in my closet, have no idea when I got them, but there are baggy!! 10’s are a little too tight still, but maybe in a next few weeks I’ll be there.
23 Weeks OP Taken 11/30/05

This was taken the day I weighed in at 158.6. 10lbs since my last picture and those are size 10 jeans baby!
27 Weeks OP Taken 12/30/05

This is 2 days after I weighed in with a 1.8 lbs gain after Christmas at 152.4. As you can see I really shouldn’t be wearing those jeans. I finally agree, bigger clothes do not make you look better. Those are size 12’s! I look thinner in the 10’s above and I was 4 lbs heavier!
32 Weeks Taken 02/04/06

This was taken 2 days after I weighed in at
146.4. I am actually below goal! You will not believe what size those jeans are, I hardly believe it myself! 8’s!! And they fit perfectly! Much better then the 12’s above.
36 Weeks Taken 03/03/06

The day after I reached my goal of making lifetime member at weight Watchers and weighing in at 142.2lbs! I bought this dress in honor of making goal a few weeks ago. It’s a size 8 and I plan on wearing it to a wedding this fall. Of course the picture I liked the best didn’t come out great (the one on the right) so I tried to brighten it up a bit.
Those who know me know I NEVER wear anything with my arms exposed! This is a first! Man I wished I was that skinny on my wedding day! ;) ;)
42 Weeks Taken 04/16/06

I’ll say it again, only because I can’t believe it! Those are size 6! There a little snug but who cares?!? I love them! This was taken a few days after I weighed in at 138.
56 Weeks Taken 07/18/06

This is me on vacation this year. A few people requested some maintenance photos. This is my 56th week on plan, 20 weeks after making lifetime. I’m about 136 pounds in this photo and it’s 5 weeks after my tummy tuck.
64 Weeks Taken 09/13/06

I wasn’t planning on updating this section for awhile but someone shot this picture of me and it reminded me of the pictures I’d take for web site. This was taken 64 weeks after starting weight Watchers. I was about 138 lbs. This will be the last picture I post for awhile, at least until my 2 year weight Watchers anniversary.
116 Weeks Taken 09/25/07

WOW It’s been a YEAR since posting. I guess since I reached my weight loss goal it wasn’t as important for me to post progress pictures. But, as requested, here you go! I snapped this before going to work today. The morning scale reading was 142 and those are size 6 dress pants. It’s also been about 2 months since I started working out and circuit craning. I think I’m starting to see results. Especially in my arms!
150 Weeks Taken 06/15/08

That’s me, first thing in the morning! I snapped it right after posting my latest tummy tuck photos. I have to admit, I have no idea what I weigh in this picture. It’s been about 2 weeks since weighing in officially. I’d guess about 145. I can tell you those are an Old Navy size 4 shorts and a large tank. (I’m NOT normally a size 4 – more of a 6). My weight is up from my lowest but I’ve built a lot of muscle over the past 10 months and I’m totally happy with my size – Still strange to say that!
I’ve been doing this a looong time…

Finally my first Farro idea! I have to say, I love this stuff! It's chewy and yummy and, well, fun! I tossed it with what I could find in my pantry and it made a wonderfully satisfying lunch. Filling but not heavy, tasty and quite nutrient dense. According to NutritionData.com this [...] -
I've seen it mentioned in a few of my clean eating and healthy cook books but honestly, I never even thought of Farro as an option for me. I refuse to shop at specialty stores and I try to use only common products that I can keep in stock and purchase from a typical grocery [...] -
I've never had a tuna melt. Is that weird? I guess that's what happens when you grow up not liking mayonnaise. I never ate tuna salad or egg salad or chicken salad. Honestly, they always kind of grossed me out. Then I realized.. hey.. why does tuna salad have [...] -
I have no idea where this idea came from. I was hungry. It was lunch. I had Brussels Sprouts. That was all the catalyst I needed.:) I decided to use a slice of real bacon to add flavor and little fat that would help sauté the sprouts. I'm trying [...] -
WOW was this good. I mean seriously good. It's not vegetarian so don't start throwing stones. I'm calling it a Garden Vegetable Burger because I use the new Laughing Cow Smooth Sensations Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese Spread. It was this recipe on Allrecipes.com that inspired [...] -
I drink water 99.9% of the time but every so often it just doesn't cut it. I want something else. Something more. Something slightly sweet. Today was one of those days. I decided to make a refreshing drink based on the famous Arnold Palmer, half lemonade and half iced [...] -
The other day I made a whole chicken on the grill in pieces. It was delicious! Just a little BBQ sauce and an open flame is all I need to make The Husband happy in the dinner department. I also picked up a few ears of corn from the grocery store. They aren't in season [...] -
Let me explain so you don't think I'm making a chili recipe and just put it on pizza. I'm calling this vegetarian Chili Pizza because chili is what inspired flavors. I think I told you. Little Bean is really into, well, BEANS! We go through a can about every 2 days. Yesterday [...] -
I've confessed my inability to follow recipes here on GreenLiteBites many, many times. I don't know why it's so hard for me. I can barely follow some of my own and I wrote the darn things! I think most of my problem stems from not having all the ingredients listed and, [...] -
Leftover brown rice and leftover sauce meet in this quick lunch idea inspired by my favorite food of all time: Pizza. I swear I can turn anything into a pizza concoction. Have you seen all my pizza ideas? I've used everything from pumpkin to zucchini, polenta to wontons. Nothing is off [...] -
This isn't a recipe just an idea I had to share. I can't believe how good it was! I've never had grilled pineapple. Can you believe it? I just never really had the desire to grill it before. When you love something raw sometimes it doesn't occur to you to cook it. [...] -
I whipped this up for lunch on a whim today because, well, I have a baby who's obsessed with three things… Cheese, Beans, and Avocado. No, really. Look... It's my go to meal for him so I find myself with beans and avocado readily available. [...] -
You know that tradition 7 Layer Mexican Dip? The one with the cream cheese, guacamole, salsa, lettuce, cheese, green onion and olives? Yea. That's the one. Well I had a craving for it the other day. Well, not exactly for it as I can never make anything the way it's suppose [...] -
If you go through the archives of GreenLiteBites I have about 5 total beef recipes. Five. Compare that to the 80+ I have tagged with chicken/turkey there's a clear winner in the meat department on my blog and in my home. I don't have a beef with beef (omg The Husband [...] -
I'm a kitchen sink smoothie maker. Whatever I have on hand goes in the blender and viola! A quick breakfast or a healthy snack. Last year I posted an "Elastic Approach" to how I make smoothies but I still like to share specific combinations that worked really well. This was one [...] -
The other night it was just the kids and I home for dinner and I decided to make what I wanted to make no holds barred. Without The Husband home it's much easier for some reason. Hmmm wonder why? Ok, not here to husband bash.. really.. I'm not! I'm here [...] -
*sigh* I was really hoping to share an awesome turkey burger idea. I had grand plans for my leftover ground turkey. The results was alright but they could have been so much better. I added diced pineapple, red pepper, green pepper, oats and soy sauce to the meat and formed 2 patties. In hindsight I [...] -
I made this on a total whim yesterday having no idea if it would work. To my surprise it did AND the husband actually said he liked it... UNSOLICITED! Here's the story. I had only 4 tilapia fillets defrosted for dinner. I knew it wasn't going to be enough for us [...] -
This is a slight reboot of a recipe I posted last year simply called Sweet Potato and Black Bean Chili. Staying true to my use-what-I-have-on-hand roots I, well, used what I had on hand and made a similar dish with a spicy twist. Topping the result with avocado added a cool creaminess that [...] -
Did you hear? The Laughing Cow recently launched Smooth Sensations a line of 5 cream cheese spreads. There's Classic Cream, Classic Cream Light, Strawberries & Cream, Garden Vegetable and my favorite… Cinnamon. It's a sweet wedge of creamy goodness! Today I decided to use my new favorite flavor [...] -
Confession time, I recorded a 30 minute video making this with both kids (partally) 2 nights ago. I miss videos. I really do but they seem so much more difficult with 2 children. I'm also having technical difficulties with my video recording and audio syncing making it VERY time consuming to edit. [...] -
A couple of years ago I shared a modified version of Sloppy Joe's I made for a party. Everyone loved it but I've been wanting to try to make something similar for the family on a smaller scale and without the pre-made canned Manwich sauce. I don't particularly have any issues [...] -
Yesterday I was dreaming about a salad. Not just any salad, but a chickpea filled, cucumber, and red onion salad with a fun, tangy dressing. Unfortunately, I had no cucumber or red onion. Well, that's a lie. I had a half of cucumber but it was a mushy mess and [...] -
Dinner meals are getting harder and harder for me to share lately. I've gone back to just whipping things up without really measuring anything (this meal was going to be one of those until I realized I still had enough light to take some photos.) I've also instituted a few brainless meal nights [...] -
Three years ago I posted a video called "Makin' Hard Boiled Eggs" where I shared my system for, well... making hard boiled eggs. Genius name, I know. I'm smart like that. Anyway, since then I've gotten tons of feedback and comments thanking me but all the information is locked in a long winded 10 minute [...]

These pics are absolutely amazing! I have a question though…you lost 34 lbs in your first month? The info from the first picture to the second shows that you went from 225 lbs. on 6/17/05 to 191 lbs. on 7/23/05. That’s a lot of weight in one month…those are the results I would like to see. What were you doing? What should I be doing that I’m obviously not?
Heather
Heather – the first month can hardly be considered a bench mark. I had 2 6lb losses in the first 3 weeks. My body was coming off the pregnancy. I was losing water weight while my body was adjusting to less salt, whole foods etc. You may not be doing anything wrong, you really can’t compare as our bodies may be completely different.
Sorry, not sure if that was much help.

We are into the 3rd month of 2009 deary… where is an updated photo!?!?
You are hot. Congratulations on keeping the weight off!
Congratulations on all your weight loss
What a beautiful progression! Thank you for posting these. I just started the Weight Watchers program and I’m hoping for similar results.
It did me good to look at these! I have been with WW for 28 weeks and have lost 34 pounds. I am 12 pounds from goal and have been fighting with myself for weeks- just hovering within 1-2 pounds of the same weight since the first week of March. I keep “rebelling” by eating off plan or skipping workouts. I don’t know why I sabotage myself repeatedly after doing so well for so long.
I read the posts from last week about “Funkville” and looked at these pictures today and I began to see what is going on with my journey isn’t unique. We all have little bumps in the road and stalls to get thru!
Just knowing that makes it all seem more manageable.
Thanks again Roni- and all who post! I really appreciate the community.
Congratulations!l
I met my wife of 20 years, who is 157 cm (5’3″), when she weighed only 114 pounds. I would call that almost anorectic.
She got a daughter 7 years ago and twin girls 3 years ago. After that , she reduced her weight from 200 pounds (at pregnancy) down to a mere, and stable, 130 pounds.
She did this by doing *hard work* at the dinner table and by exercising. I am *very* proud of her. But I guess that part of the solution was that I loved her all the way. I loved her when she as 114 pounds, when she was 200 pounds, and now that she is 130 pounds.
Of course she is the most beautiful woman in the world.
Came across this when looking up info on tummy tucks. What a great site!!!! I was always a healthy, size 6 (at my biggest 8) until I had my two children. I currently weigh a LOT more than I ever dreamed that I would. I work out regularly, but eat way too many calories during the day. I guess my metabolism has slowed down. (I am 39). I would like to get a tummy tuck, but not until I lose the 25 pounds or so that dog me.
This is really interesting. And inspiring. Sounds like WW works for a lot of people out there. Obviously, my system isn’t working!!! thanks for sharing.
Roni- it’s been almost a year since your last picture!!! It’s time!!!

You look great! I love your blog! :)
Hard to believe the June ’05 picture is really you! A scant three months later you already look great, and a year after that you are one serious knock-out!
As if that wasn’t enough, the last pic is how you look first thing in the morning?! Oh my word…your husband is one seriously lucky guy. (It’s still hard to believe that very first pic is really you.)
Congratulations! I wish you much continued success; may your every dream come true.
Congratulations!
Hi! I am from Brazil, you did a good job.
Hi,
I found your site by searching about swelling. I just had a Tummy Tuck Nov. 17th I am so proud of my results but was wondering if I’d get that flat tummy look from the front and side view. Then I saw your photos and read what you had written and the pics were me:) It has given me hope to see how you were and where you are now. Thanks for sharing. You look beautiful..
Sincerely,
Tina
Found your blog through Woman’s Day. I have been released from 110 lbs, and STILL counting since 2007. When I saw your pictures I thought to myself, you look completely different. I feel the same way when I look at previous pictures of myself. I no longer look the same way, but on the inside I’ve changed too, I think that is the greatest transformation…
blessings to you and yours.
GIRLS! LIVE WITH HOW GOD MADE YOU. DO THE BEST YOU CAN TO KEEP YOURSELF IN SHAPE; i.e. EXCERCISE, EATING PROPERLY. AVOID SURGERY AT ALL COSTS.
WHY IS EVERYONE SO VAIN? WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WHEN YOU GET REALLY OLD? AGE GRACEFULLY!
AJ – I’m not sure why are you screaming at us “GIRLS” when in fact I am a WOMEN who IS trying the best she can.
As for aging, I, for one, am enjoying the aging process. When I get old I’ll be doing what I’m doing right now. Enjoying life, finding balance, and having no regrets.
I appreciate your comment but preach somewhere else please.
To Roni–Congratulations on achieving a healthy weight, maintaining it, and managing to develop a healthy body image in the process, and thank you for sharing all aspects of your journey with so many people, so we can see that having a setback is not an excuse to quit. :)
To Roni’s readers–I enjoy this site because it is an inspiration to me…it tells me that I can set a goal and reach it because Roni did, and if she did it (as an ordinary woman), so can I. I will never see the bad in that, and I hope that those who enjoy this website the same way that I do will continue to read, learn, and grow.
Hi Roni,
I am contemplating starting Weight Watchers. I found your blog and it has inspired me. You look fantastic. Keep up the good work. I hope to be as successful as you. Thank you!
what a great progression and perseverance ! Congratulation !
As a variant you could also organize your pictures chronologically like this one: Chronological Photo Album
And don’t give up, keep the good healthy habits :)
what an absolute inspiration! I’ve been following GLB for a while now, and just stopped over here. I always noticed the WW points, but never actually realized what a journey you had. I just always thought “how beautiful and thin Roni is!”. I needed a little inspiration in my life after a rough couple of weeks. I think you did it for me!
THANKS RONI!

[...] Also, I will be posting pictures tomorrow or Monday of me at my current weight. From then on I will be posting pictures after every 10 pounds so I can see the changes in myself easier. hi roni, what a transformation.your blog is very inspiring,
Hi Roni
I found ur site on the day I decided to comeback to ww. You are so inspiring! You have played a part in giving me new hope that I can have the determination and willpower to do this once and for all. Having been reading over your site for the past couple of days it has kept me going-sticking to the points and not givingin to temptation. I am feeling better already-thanks Roni! ;)
No inspiration for me. This blog is stupid.
Look up and to the left there should be a back button. Bye.
Read the blog, viewed the pictures. Truly amazing and inspiring. I just started WW 1.5 weeks ago and have already lost 7 lbs as of my last weigh in. I know the loss is higher now but I won’t know the number until Wednesday. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m in control again and it is a wonderful feeling. I took a before picture and I plan on periodically taking progression pictures as well. Maybe one of these days I will be able to suck it up and post them in a blog. I’m getting there. I just need more time.
Sometimes I get so caught up in reading this or that that I end up missing incredible stuff…Seeing these photos now just gave me chills! I was already in awe of you Roni, but damn……..just wow…Yep, that’s all…damn…
Wow!!! Amazing progress. And as always, the journey never ends.
Wow this is such great inspiration!!
How truly generous of you to share your experience with
the world. I get the best tips and motivation from your sites :)
Wow! So inspiring! :) I was always petite and after my 2 c-sections, that changed dramatically! You’ve totally inspired me. Thanks!
Wow, awesome results. I’ve been trying to loose weight since my son was born in Dec. 2007. Since then I’ve lost a little, but have also had another child in Mar 2010. I was able to loose everything I gained with my second pregnancy, but am still still struggling to loose the weight I gained from my first pregnancy. (oh, and I had c-sections with both) When I weighed myself about a month ago I was 263 lbs. For my height I’m only supposed to weigh around 135 lbs. I would be happy with 150lbs, but it is a struggle for me to loose weight. I can’t afford to spend too much for a weight loss program, but love the results you got. If you don’t mind my asking how much did your weight watchers program cost? I don’t want to loose the weight for anyone else, I want to loose it so I can be comfortable with me again. I used to be very self-confident when I weighed 140lbs and wore a size 11 (I have wide hips) I would love to be that size again. What is your secret?
WW is about 10-12 a week. I don’t follow it anymore though, they have since changed the program. These posts may shed some light on “my secrets”… http://ronisweigh.com/2008/10/3-steps-to-a-healthier-you-a-series.html
:)
That’s so awesome! Congrats!!!!
I’ve lost almost 50 pounds and have a similar monthly progression on my site (http://minus30flirtyandthriving.wordpress.com/my-progress/).
How cool is this. Just came across it, YOU GO GIRL!!! You look awesome
Ditto you are an inspiration. I found you while watching my neighbor’s dog for an hour and reading First magazine. I came home and immediately looked you up.
I think I’m the oldest of your fans at 61. I’ve done WW and it is a good program. This time I decided to do it on my own. I didn’t want a weekly weigh in to mess with my mind if the number wasn’t what I expected. I’ve lost two sizes and feels so good. And now that I found you on GLB, how great is that to help me on my continued journey to be healthy in body and spirit.
You are doing a fabulous job!!! I really enjoy the information and recipes you are putting out there and suggested to my daughters to look you up! PS you make it simple for seniors!
