Did I ever tell you about my 5 Story rule? I think I did waaaayy back when in my 10 Stay Active Tips! In short, I have a personal rule to always seek out stairs in any building 5 stories or less.
I’m still and will always be, a stair taker. I even recently trucked up 14 flights at a conference I was attending. Boy THAT was a workout!
Anyway, when I saw this quote it made me chuckle.
“A man’s health can be judged by which he takes two at a time – pills or stairs.”
Joan Welsh
Are you a stair taker?
This is me at my High School graduation. (Mom is going to KILL ME. lol)

I practically starved myself my senior year because I thought I was fat. I was delusional. I was happy but uncomfortable. By this time I already would NOT be caught dead in a bathing suit without a t-shirt and nothing made me more uncomfortable then that sleeveless dress. Click here to read the rest »
I eat out. There, I said it.
What can I say? I’m a working mom married to a fast food junky. I do my best to cook most evenings. I enjoy cooking. I like knowing what goes in my meals and in my family. And there is no doubt a big part of my 70 lb. weight loss was learning how to cook lighter and healthier. GreenLiteBites was/is my outlet to share what I was/am learning.
However, I live in the real world and in the real world it’s just not possible to cook every night. Click here to read the rest »
I posted this on DailyBooth this morning..

…with the caption “SMILE! It’s Monday. You know what they say… Fake it till ya make it. ;~)”
You know what. It worked! I’m trying to make the best of today even though I’m tired, busy, have too much to do and feel crappy about the weekend. I hope to post later tonight but I’m not sure I’ll have time. This conference is KILLING me. In a good way! :)
Off to post on GreenLiteBites… I just made some Simply Spiced Chickpeas for a quick snack!

Fighting the funk. Ate too much. Feeling bleh. Not going to bore you with the whiny details.
Tomorrow will be better.

We both just want to run. :)

When will I learn not to ask the husband where he wants to go to dinner? WHEN?
By the middle of the work week I’m spent and going out to dinner gives me a much needed break in the evening. So tonight on my home I gave the husband a ring and ask what he wanted to do for dinner. He blurts out.. "Five Guys?" Click here to read the rest »
I’m trying to get back on a regular schedule with the Question of the Week. I love getting insight and opinions from everyone and it keeps me on task with my blogging goals.
The questions normally get inspired by something that happened to me that day or a thought that popped in my head during my morning shower Click here to read the rest »
Yes, it’s Valentines day weekend. Yes, there will be chocolate EVERYWHERE! Yes, the hubz is taking you out to dinner again. Yes, you are going to have a few glasses of wine. Yes, there will be popcorn at the movie and candy in the room.
All of that is OOOOKKKKKKK
Don’t deprive yourself. Eat when hungry. Enjoy the little things and remember… One day can not “ruin your diet” because there is no diet. This is a lifestyle and you are living it! Quite good I might add. Pat yourself on the back for boot camp this morning you totally kicked butt!
Oh! and stop worrying about the running. As soon as the snow melts you’ll find your grove again. You’ve survived long stretches of no running before. You ran a freaking marathon for God’s sake you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to.
Now go enjoy the weekend and stop worrying.
