One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Priority Shifts and Adjustment Periods

Happy Memorial Day!

I had the best low-key weekend. We took the boys up to see all the grandparents. It wasn’t the longest visit but it was nice to be home, spend some time with Mom and see my niece.

The boys got some pool time and I had a long overdue “pajama day.” It was glorious!

The last week has been quite an adjustment. I didn’t think I’d go back to more of a typical 9-5 job but I’m loving the structure of it. I’m also welcoming back the simplicity of getting compensated for the work I do without having to negotiate, grovel or sell my soul. Generating an income from blogging is a lot of work and I’ve been feeling burnt out for some time now.

This weekend was exactly what I needed to re-evaluate my priorities.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

The initial adjustment to 9-5 is tough. Roni, I admire you looking at it from the bright side, as usual! And I’m guessing the photo is your niece? Priceless. I can see she’s got the joy gene too.

That is a wonderful happy picture! Sounds like a perfect day. And I, for one, think it’s so inspiring how you always try new things and “go for it”.
