Just Another Day at the Gym

Tuesdays are one of my busiest days. My alarm goes off at 5 a.m. so I can get to the gym and open up at 5:30 a.m. Then I take the 6 a.m. class with everyone.

That’s me in the back doing a Turkish get up. We had 50 of them to do for today’s workout. It was INTENSE! Took me 23 minutes.

After the morning class I came home, saw the 10-year-old off to school and spent some time with the 4-year-old. He’s totally into Memory right now. It’s so fun!

Once I got him off to pre-k I got my hair cut, eyebrows waxed and ran some errands before heading back to the gym for the afternoon shift.

I prepared for the evening’s Fit Kid’s Club meeting by designing an obstacle course,

posted a new “Quote of the Week,”

placed a shirt order, and studied the CrossFit certification materials until the afternoon classes came in.

I don’t have any photos but within the next hour the gym was hopping. I had 8 kids in the Kid’s Class, we had a new member taking the intro course and each class seemed to get busier than the last.

I stayed until about 7 and then took the kids to Chick-Fil-A for our traditional kid’s night dinner.

Then it was baths, story and bed.

The Husband came home shortly after from tennis and I told him he wasn’t allowed to talk to me yet. I haven’t decompressed enough.

I still haven’t but sitting down to reflect on the day helped for sure.

    I love when gym rooms have gym quotes! I would stare at them when feeling like I just can’t do another lunge or squat and find the energy for ONE more. Your Tuesday sounds crazy full, but wonderful, full! Any chance you can snap food photos on one of these days to share? I just don’t know how you find the energy. I would have come home after the morning shift and slept or been groggy all day. Is it coffee getting you through? Or do you just naturally have that much energy? (I can’t drink caffeine. Upsets my stomach too much). Your gym looks super clean by the way :)

    Wow, that gym is AMAZING. I really plan to open up one for me in my city.

    And about Turkish Get Ups, they are awesome: not only work all your body, but give a good stress on CNS, so, at least for me, helps to promote an awesome night of sleep! (I have some problems on sleeping)
