GO USA! I just got done watching the women’s soccer team kick some serious butt! Very exciting and I’m not normally a sports person.
This weekend was awesome. I’m going to try to run through it backwards for a change.
We didn’t make dinner tonight since we had a late lunch. Instead we snacked on some cookies and cuddled on the couch.
Bad picture, I know, but one that really captures my afternoon. One kid by my side, one on my lap as we played on their iPads.
Earlier we went to the mall to run a few errands and had that late lunch at Red Robin. I love getting their Banzai Burger on a lettuce bun and splitting sweet potato fries with the kids.
The morning was slow. We cleaned up, hung out and I made the boys bacon and french toast. One likes his toast cut into “sticks” that he dips into syrup, the other wants it whole with peanut butter smeared on top.
They couldn’t be more different.
Last night we had a blast at home with cheesy fireworks, s’mores, and sparklers…
We invited a few friends over and the kids enjoyed it.
I excitedly cooked all afternoon. Sometimes I love having people to cook for besides the boys.
With more taste testers it inspires me to think outside the box a bit. I made a fun Asian slaw…
And an AMAZING blueberry salsa, which I finished this morning…
I’ll post both on GreenLiteBites this week!
Before the cook-fest we played an epic game of HEROICA.
It’s so much fun! We really get into it.
Saturday started with an awesome guys vs. gals event at a local gym. My friend Rachel and I killed it!
We had a blast!
That was the past 2 days. It was weird blogging backwards. I don’t normally do that.
Hope you had a great weekend!
