The day didn’t start off that great. My camera broke. I’m not sure what’s going on with it but no photos will save and I spent almost an hour trying to figure it out.
I finally gave up and decided to just use my phone. I really can’t wrap my head around it right now so I’m moving on.
For breakfast I decided to have some fun with oatmeal.
I mixed in a little peanut butter, cocoa powder and mashed banana, then topped it with a sprinkle of hemp hearts. It was delicious! (I’ll post more details on GreenLiteBites ASAP.)
After breakfast it was time to tackle a cabinet for the #wycwyc challenge.
This is my island and it’s been a mess for as long as I can remember. I just keep shoving more and move stuff in there, and it doesn’t help that it stores all the appliances I use most, so I’m always in there.
While I emptied it out The Boys played Wii bowling.
I love that Evan is getting old enough to play things like this with his brother. He was so cute with that controller.
I thought the cabinets were going to take forever but 20 minutes later I was done!
I know it still looks kind of messy but I cleaned out a bunch of stuff and I finally came up with a way to organize it so the appliances I use most are easily accessible.
After I was done I convinced the boys to run with me.
It’s been a while since I’ve run — a combination of lack of interest and the weather.
This morning I got this email from RunKeeper and it cracked me up.
“I’m in” is my mantra after all.
I did a half a mile with the boys and then another 1 and a half on my own. It was GORGEOUS out. Sunny, 50 degrees. Just beautiful.
After lunch and showers I took Evan with me to hit a local farm store.
I may have gone a little overboard in the produce department.
For dinner I roasted a chicken, potatoes and these Brussels sprouts that came out AMAZING.
I’ll post that recipe on GreenLiteBites this week, too!
After dinner we finished up the Monopoly game…
… although it was a bit of a show. The Husband and I get a little too competitive. Monopoly in particular usually doesn’t end well. lol
That’s about it from me on this Sunny, Sensational Sunday. I’m watching Walking Dead and then going to bed.
Hope you had a great weekend!
