One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Personal Records, Pretty Salads and Robot Turtles

I’ve got three things to share today…

1. Personal Records

It’s a test out week at the gym and so far I’m killing it! On Saturday I blew my front squat personal record (PR) out of the water by 15 lbs and today I finally hit a 130 lb bench press.

I love getting stronger. I don’t know why, I just do.

2. Pretty Salads

Today for lunch the kids had sandwiches with a side salad. Ryan thought his was so pretty he asked me to take a photo of it.

I may have created a monster.

3. Robot Turtles

We finally got a chance to play Robot Turtles, a game that teaches the basics of programming to young kids and we love it!

I’m doing my best to raise a couple of geeks. ;)

OK, off to foam roll before bed!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

15 lbs+ front squat and 130 lbs bench. No need to understand why you love to get stronger, that’s what Athletes do: pushing physical boundaries for discovery and the pure Joy of it!
Guess you’ve become an Athlete, congrats to you Roni:)

You’re lifting blows me away. I have never been able to bench press the bar, LOL.

    You are inspiring and amazing.

I want to share something that has nothing to do with your post. There’s a car commercial with 2 main guys – one comes in with one car, another leaves with a different (the advertised) car (which I cannot remember for the life of me at the moment).

I kept watching the first guy thinking, “Who is that? I know that guy!” I kept thinking it was a well-known actor, and I just couldn’t come up with his name.

It finally dawned on me that he looks like your husband!

Thanks for sharing your journey, and have a blessed day.

Ya think? I just watched it. I’m not sure I see the resemblance. Normally he gets “the guy from Yes Dear” … He actually had someone stop him at a restaurant before. Too funny.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post. Geeks are the future! No individual isn’t a geek of some sort these days. But the salad was cute!
