One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

10 Miles, Big Hero and My New Laptop!

This morning I headed out for a long run. I scoped out a loop but ended up taking a short detour on a local trail.

It was a gorgeous morning for a run but I had to hurry back to get the boys ready for the movies. We had tickets to see an early showing of Big Hero 6.

We headed to a new theater a town away because, well, IT’S SO FREAKIN’ COOL!

That’s the boys waiting in the lobby for seating to start. We splurged on the “reserve” seats which are amazing! They have fun love seats with trays and serve you food in the theater! Oh! and each ticket includes popcorn!

It’s totally spoiling us.

Here are the boys enjoying the previews.

Notice Little Bean is wearing his 3D glasses when he doesn’t need them. What happened when the movie started? He handed them to me, said he didn’t like them and watched the entire 3D showing blurry.

I’m not a big 3D fan anyway but this is why we usually don’t bother with it. I see no added value and when you have young kids it backfires anyway.

As for Big Hero 6 it was good. The 9-Year-Old loved it. The 3-Year-Old was a little bored. Both The Husband and I thought it was OK. Not amazing, but definitely entertaining.

After the movie I dragged the boys to the Apple Store since we were so close.

I’ve been in the market for a new laptop since my Macbook Pro bit the dust a few months ago.

I finally pulled the trigger.

Right now I’m watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine on the couch next to The Husband while posting this! I know it’s cheesy but I miss this. I love my office but I hate being tied to it when I can multitask things like photo prep while watching TV with The Husband.

Most of the evening I was folding laundry and downloading software.

And that’s about it for this Sensational Sunday. I didn’t do any cooking, food prep or even shopping so I’ll be playing it by ear all week and reacting to what I have in the pantry. I kind of like the challenge anyway.

OK, got to go. Walking Dead is coming on! Hope you had a great weekend. :)

You said it was cool, but if that photo was of the theatre, it was MORE than cool, we have NOTHING like that here! :O JEALOUS.

Even more of that gorgeous autumn trail. I love fall on the east coast, it’s so pretty and the weather is perfect for a longer brisk jog without getting overly sweaty and gross.

I totally agree regarding the 3D thing. There are few movies worth the extra splurge really, and the eventual headache from watching the whole movie that way. 3D has always messed with my eyes hard.
