I’m having a hard time calling this a Sensational Sunday because I’ve been a bit funkalicious all weekend. Pre-conference stress, hormones and lack of sleep have all caught up with me.
Anyway, the 3-Year-Old and I started the day watching the Lego Movie. He loves it!
We all do.
I was hungry but it was early and I just didn’t feel like making breakfast yet. Instead I made a quick smoothie with a banana, cocoa powder, PB2, and almond milk.
SO GOOD! And I wasn’t the only one who thought so.
Once The 9-Year-Old got up we happily started chores.
Once The Husband woke up I made a big breakfast of eggs and bacon for everyone.
Everyone was happy except this guy who threw a tantrum because he “didn’t want to eat breakfast.”
So we started without him and soon enough he joined in and shared some of our scrambled eggs.
After breakfast we headed outside to tend to the yard and our container garden.
Things are looking good! We have tomatoes, yellow squash, baby peppers and for the first time, broccoli!
Oh! and my herb garden is going strong!
While outside I happened to grab the mail that we haven’t checked in days and BAM!
Someone got their passport! Considering I didn’t get mine until I was 36, this has been a big deal for us. He’s so excited, too.
The rest of the morning was packing and organizing for FitBloggin’…
..with a little play mixed in.
Then it was lunch, errand running, dinner, clean up, run, baths, bed for the kids and now this. To be honest, I had zero energy to pick up the camera let alone get it all done but I did. And now I’m up too late again shoving popcorn in my face.
I really can’t complain. I did have a great weekend. I just have to keep mushing through the funk!
Hope you had a great weekend!
