One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

I’m a Competitor!

This is how I ended my weekend of CrossFit competition.

It was ROUGH. Tough workouts, heavy weights, FIERCE competition.

Did I feel out of my league?

The athletes at this event were insane and totally inspiring. Just being around them was energizing. It’s like getting a glimpse of what I could accomplish if I just keep working.

Oh, and you know I don’t mean their physiques! I mean what these women are physically capable of doing. It’s unbelievable!

I decided to wear my competitor bracelet just a little longer.

It’s my reminder — I AM a competitor. The only thing that has ever held me back was my own fear and insecurity.

If you are curious, my team finished 42nd out of 84. We were smack dab in the middle of the field and I’m totally down with that at a competition of this level.

OK, I’ve got to go! Tomorrow I embark on Mother-Son California Adventure and I still have to finish packing — click here to see a few things I’m bringing (and not), on the travel blog.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

    Hi Roni-
Not sure you will get this before you leave, but there is a miniature horse farm in Solvang. I think your 8 year old would love it.
    Have a great trip!

Ohh thanks! If we have time I’ll add it to our itinerary.

I hope you write more on this. I’m a fellow Crossfitter – a competition would scare the crap out of me!

Crossfit is intense!! As a gym manager i know these things have been becoming more popular…. because its tough a hell and the harder you work the better your results :)
