Eating IN Day 6

14 Comments 1838 views

We were this close to caving today. THIS CLOSE! It was a mall trip gone bad (long story.) The smells of the food court were calling our name, Auntie Ann’s, Johnny Rockets, Buffalo Wild Wings, the temptation was EVERYWHERE but we prevailed!

What Why
Special K Nourish™ Cranberry Almond Hot Cereal My go-to on the run oatmeal. Ate in car on the way to the gym
2 eggs with ham, spinach and a side of Frosted Miniwheats I was SUPER hungry after the gym today. The family had a big breakfast together. It was nice. :)
Apple and Peanut butter Shared with the 3-year-old – Picture below :)
Cheese and Triscuts Snack before we left for the mall
Homemade Pizza on whole wheat crust with some ham and a few bacon bits Fun dinner for Saturday!
Popcorn I’ve told you, obsessed.
Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Splurge :)

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I wouldn’t say I caved, but I’m a musician, and I played in a concert yesterday. We had rehearsals all morning, a short break for lunch, and then the performance. I forgot that the whole orchestra was going out for lunch together!!! Oh well. Next time. :)

We had butternut squash chili. I was almost going to send the hubby out for dinner when I realized I had frozen beans in the deep freezer and jars of butternut squash sauce in the pantry. Bingo!

We had an outing planned for the afternoon and packed some snacks. Success! We didn’t hit the drive-thru!

Busy night tonight but stayed with the challenge by having quick soup and sammies at home.

I love charts, and that’s such a useful idea :D

I can’t remember seeing you comment on it before (although you may have). Have you ever tried PB2? I have some and it’s great to make to put on apples…very concentrated peanut taste! (The picture made me think of it!)

I have seen it but haven’t taken the leap yet. Part of me wants to be able to enjoy real PB without overdoing it. lol

Made it all seven days with grilled chicken and Asian salad tonight and steak on the grill and Trader Joes harvest grains last night. No plans to stop, we are liking this!

Oops, I missed it. Sick husband, son’s concert at 5:00, then 20 minutes to drop him off at his chem study group. Five guys :) I will say, it was super yummy. Even with the burgers, it’s still been an awesome eating week.

Man oh Man. Auntie Anne’s cinnamon pretzel is so hard for me to resist. But I too, ignored the delicious smells this weekend while at the mall. The temptation for bad food choices is everywhere. Preparation is key. Too bad I am bad at that part. And now I have to make brownies for my daughter’s bday on Wednesday. ARGH!!!

Well, we made it! Ate in all meals all week! I never told my husband that we were doing this and he had no idea…it took a lot of pre-planning on my part and I think that I spent more $$ than if we had eaten out a few of the meals, but overall it was a really good experiment. I think that my husband just thought that I wanted to try some new recipes (come on man…..try new recipes every night?????) Thanks Roni for the inspiration to do this.
