My Holiday Hero

4 Comments 1720 views

I have received information about the TYLENOL® Holiday Heroes promotion from McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc., the makers of TYLENOL®. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post for Kin Community.

I rarely do one-time-only sponsored posts but when someone asks you to write about your Holiday Hero it’s hard to pass up.

The first person to come to mind was, of course, Mom. You guys know how I feel about her and her sacrifices to not only raise me but also my niece.

But that’s not who I want to recognize in this post. There’s someone else who has always been there for me and my family. He’s the kind of guy that does everything for everyone never asking for anything in return.

When I was 16 he gave me his car. HIS CAR! And is wasn’t just any old car. It was a 1980 Z-28 Camaro.

I wish I could find a photo of it but I couldn’t so I had to steal that one from ClassicIndustries.com

He was at my high school graduation and bachelors and masters. When I was 23 he helped moved me to Maryland. At 24 he walked me down the aisle along with my dad.

He installed every ceiling fan in my house (and my old one), my garage door openers and most recently fixed my darn microwave! He is always there when I need him, and the way he helps me is just a small fraction of what he does for others.

Right now, at this very moment, he’s as the hospital with my mom while she has back surgery.

And now I’m crying.

My stepfather walked into my life when I was 12 years old, put up with me as a teenager and became more of a father to me than I could have ever imagined.

And now my kids are lucky enough to call him Grandpa…

… and I can’t even express with words how happy I am my niece gets to call him “Daddy.”

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

This is AWESOME! I tried to go to the Facebook page but all of the links you have take me to my regular news feed. When I tried to search for Tylenol or Tylenol Holiday Heroes I couldn’t find any type of page like that. I also checked all of the other Tylenol pages but none of them have anything about the holiday heroes. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. :(
