One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

A Simple Sensational Sunday

It’s been a crazy couple of days! Last week I was in Denver visiting hotels for FitBloggin. Besides going on site tours, Jen and I had as much fun as we possibly could during the coldest three days of the year. We made a fun video recapping the trip

I had a blast editing on the plane ride home!

After being away for a few days, I decided to just chill with the boys this weekend. We didn’t do much besides a little Christmas shopping and cleaning.

Today was more of the same.

The boys started the day with some Lego City.

It gave me just enough time to finish up some gifts I was making online. Anyone else really into photo books? They make such great presents!

The 2-year-old got bored with the game and pulled out his favorite book.

I highly recommend Rhyming Dust Bunnies if you are looking for a fun toddler book. We’ve read it every night for weeks now.

Breakfast was waffle sticks made with my Banana Almond Oat Pancake batter.

I’ve even been sneaking in some ground flax. The kids haven’t noticed. I love sneaking good things in them. :)

After breakfast I tried a new cookie ball recipe for the holidays and they came out AMAZING!

Everyone thought so!

I hope to get them up on GreenLiteBites tomorrow.

Late morning the snow hit and it hit hard.

Within in an hour we had over 2 inches and it wasn’t letting up.

Thankfully I had some comfort food on hand.

That’s the last of the homemade turkey broth from Thanksgiving turned into a kitchen sink kind of soup.

Nap time. :)

I didn’t get a run or gym time in this morning, but snow shoveling helped me reach my step goal.

This guy helped, kind of.

He was more interested in snowball fights.

Thankfully I live within a mile of a grocery store because the roads were a mess but we desperately needed to go.

I got back and made dinner while these three played.

After dinner I made lunches for tomorrow.

I haven’t updated the lunch section of GreenLiteBites in forever because the 8-year-old has been mostly buying and the 2 year-old’s school keeps dumping his leftovers even though I’ve asked them not to.

After dinner The Husband took the 2-year-old up for a bath while the 8-year-old and I watched “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and folded clothes.

It was a great, low-key day. I’ve been battling a case of the munchies and having those darn cookie balls aren’t helping. I already ate more than I should and now I’m craving cheese for some reason.

Anyway, I’ve got to go. Early morning at the gym tomorrow. I’m just hoping the roads aren’t too icy!

Hope you had a great weekend!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Love the video! A friend of mine did her grad work at U of Denver so it brought back memories of visiting her. And yes, much, much better in June!
