    There are so many people doing very restrictive plans and it’s always nice to see someone succeeding with a more moderate approach. I don’t want to have to cut whole food groups out of my life to lose weight.

    Thank you so much for this. I so needed this today. I am in this exact situation! I bought 2 candy bars from a school fundraiser outside the supermarket. I left them in my desk at work yesterday. I found this morning and started eating them a little bit at a time. It is only 10am and I almost thru the 1st one. TIME TO STOP! Thank you again. It made my day!

    That is exactly right! I was thinking about you this morning and how you said Paleo is not for you and I totally agree. Anyone can go on a diet and restrict this or that but to be in the real world and live a full and rich life and still lose and then maintain, now that is what I aspire to! Thanks, Roni! You are a true inspiration.

    Thank you for taking the time to write your blog. I know you probably write more for yourself – to get it out, but thanks for giving us something we can read! I also have struggled with my weight for all of my life. I am actually in therapy just to get it out and realize my childhood “faults” were not my own. I can move past them and deal with the present and not always think back to my past. I have lost 15 pounds the right way over the last 4 months. I started with My Fitness Pal counting calories and running 2-3 days a week. If you knew me, running was a punishment in sports growing up and not something I just did on my own. LOL. Now, I use it as time to help myself get ready for the day and get all the negative talk out of my head before it has time to “ruin” my day. On days I don’t run, I read fitness devotions that tie in scripture with being kind to ourselves and write in a journal. I currently eat until I feel satisfied, I eat anything I want, but making good decisions when I can – trying to listen to my body. It is so hard to think you have done a good job and not think that one day, you will just gain in back like you have years before. My reason to get ahead of my weight is my son, he is 19 months and I am not going to raise him to begin his own cycle of weight loss/weight gain/negative talk. I like that with our kids, we kind of get a chance to see ourselves through their eyes and see what things we can fix and what we need to let go. I read your blog everyday because so much of what you write, happens at my house.
    One day at a time, doing what we can, when we can!
