One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Weekend Quote: A Perfect Ending

6 Comments 1775 views

There was a time I thought …

If I only lost weight and looked like all the airbrushed women in the magazines…

Life. Would. Be. Perfect.

I’d be perfect.

“I wanted a perfect ending. Now I’ve learned, the hard way, that some poems don’t rhyme, and some stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what’s going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity.” ― Gilda Radner

Don’t wait to live.

There is no perfect ending.

No perfect weight.

No perfect body.

No perfect diet.

No perfect time.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Thanks for this, but I still feel someone else’s life is always better than mine! I know flawed thinking! Oh well!Happy Friday :)

Hi Roni, you’ve inspired me to sign up for my first Tough Mudder, Sunshine Coast Australia in August 2014! In spite of not having a team to run with, or being anywhere near tough-mudder-fit, I decided to sign up (and book accommodation) anyway! :) My question is, what’s the difference between Saturday and Sunday Tough Mudders? I signed up for Sunday because it was cheaper, but am curious as to why. Thanks for the inspiration Roni; I better get training!

so true. although, having recently been through one of those “nothing is perfect so why bother” episodes in my life, i guess i would add that some things are better than others (like fitting into my clothes is better than not fitting into my clothes). i guess this is a good reminder that i don’t have to look like those crazy people who work out and post pictures of their washboard abs on instagram. (i probably should stop reading those, anyways.) thanks for the dose of perspective.
