We have two weeks until Thanksgiving then just another three before Christmas. Soon it will be the new year and everyone will make empty promises to themselves yet again.
We’ve all done it.
We “throw away” the next few weeks because, well, why not? We’re constantly surrounded by food, our schedules are hectic, family is around, and LOOK! A bright, shiny new start is on the horizon. New Year’s Day will save us. That’s when we’ll start that new diet. That’s when clean eating is possible. That’s when we’ll give paleo a try or join the gym or start running.
No, no, no, NO!
Don’t try to be 100% perfect on New Year’s Day, be 1% better today.
This is the #wycwyc philosophy in a nutshell. This is what dropping the “all or nothing” mindset is all about.
There is no perfect. Not tomorrow, not next week, not after Thanksgiving, not on New Year’s Day. I hate to burst your bubble but …
YOU WILL NEVER BE PERFECT.
I won’t either and I somehow still managed to lose and maintain a significant weight loss.
It is possible. You just have to do what you can when you can without guilt or pressure.
