One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

A Sensationally Clean Garage Sunday!

My Sensational Sunday started with a very grumpy 2-year-old who was NOT happy about my decision to keep the TV off.

He got over it.

I needed to hit the ground running. The house has been in a constant state of disarray.

I started cleaning and noticed it got awfully quiet so I headed upstairs and found these two bonding on the top bunk.

They have been so stinkin’ cute together lately I can hardly stand it.

And the 8-year-old is so fun. He’s been working on a comic called Epic Ninja.

I love that he loves being creative. :)

I left the boys at home and headed to yoga for the first time in weeks.

I’m really trying to make an effort to go weekly. I love how I feel after class.

When I got home I made myself my new favorite breakfast: a Spinach Egg Cake — click here for more details.

After breakfast it was garage cleaning time. We’ve been wanting to do this for months!

Ryan and I were on car duty.

We cleaned the insides at the house and then headed to the car wash.

This little guy stayed home with Daddy and was awfully happy when I came home and made some snacks.

Afterwards the 2-Year-Old kept walking around the house and saying, “Rya, hug!”

I told you. So stinkin’ cute!

It took all day, but boy was it worth it.

There’s nothing like a clean garage!

For dinner I made pork chops, baked potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower.

All the stars must have been aligned because everyone ate without complaint!

That never happens.

After dinner tickle wrestling ensued.

Then back to chores.

Why yes, that is the 2-year-old playing “I Robot” in the background with the laundry basket.

The Husband got ready to leave for tennis practice and I snapped this after saying, “You know, your fans miss the bird.

I gave the kids an early bath.

And then we made banana soft-serve.

Click here to see our review of the Yonanas machine.

The boys had banana-strawberry-blueberry but I made myself banana-cranberry and topped it with cocoa nibs.

So good.

The 8-year-old and I watched How The Earth Works and we pulled out the globe to take a look at Hawaii.

I love how interested he is in things!

He went to bed and here I am attempting to snack smart with my pistachios from NatureBox.

I can’t remember if I told you but I won a 3-month membership at BlogHer this year. I didn’t think I was going to like them but I do. It’s fun getting a box of goodies delivered to the house every month.

Now I’m waiting for The Husband to come home so I can watch The Walking Dead. He’s usually just a few minutes late giving us enough of a buffer to fast-forward through the commercials. Then we catch up about 10 minutes from the end. It’s nice.

I needed a day like today. I feel motivated and ready to tackle the week!

Hope you had a great weekend!
