One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Running in Nashville

What. a. day!

I can’t believe I woke up this morning in Nashville and went for a run.

And now I’m home watching Aerial America with the Husband. In between there was a plane ride, some collaboration work with Jen and food, a LOT of food. Between eating at an old Nashville Soda Shop,

and going out with The Husband for dinner, I feel like a blob at the moment. Bleh.

But it was totally worth it. I enjoyed every bite and I never order milkshakes, so I’m glad that when I did, it was the most amazing one ever.

Note: Jen snapped that shot as payback because she said  I’m always taking photos of her eating. To which I said, “We’re always eating!”

It’s hard not to do when you are traveling and there’s so much to try.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in, share my running video and give an update. Jen and I are working on a Nashville post for TheUnworldlyTravelers. We had fun but it wasn’t what I expected and unfortunately I don’t think it’s going to work for next year’s FitBloggin’ location, which means I’m still hunting! Trying to find the balance of hotel with meeting space in a nice pedestrian-friendly area is proving to be a challenge this year!

OK, off to bed for me. Have a great weekend!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Loved the video! I left you an explanation of the Parthenon on your personal Facebook page on your Instagram photo. Being a Tennessee native that lived in Nashville for many years, I’ve heard the history of the Parthenon so many times. LOL Hope you had a great time in your 24 hours there, and yes, the milkshakes at the Elliston Place Soda Shop are the bomb!

If you haven’t already, you should consider Portsmouth, NH for Fitbloggin! Portsmouth has a few larger hotels, but is very pedestrian friendly and even has a lot of great places to eat. Many places are all organic and local food options. Good luck finding a place :)

I have to put a plug into Madison, WI as a location – it’s lovely in the summer and has a huge farmers market around the capital. Plus, State Street is mostly closed for vehicles making in very pedestrian friendly. Winter on the otherhand can be not so ideal…*sigh*

Roni I no longer live there, but the Twin Cities in Minnesota would be a great place for FitBloggin! There are some excellent venues as well as it being a very walkable place. I miss it sooooooo much.

Try Champlain College in Burlington, VT. They have all the fitness amenities you’re looking for and as you know, Burlington is consistently rated one of the healthiest cities in the nation!
