Tuesday I leave for Portland, so I purposefully kept the day pretty low key and just hung with the boys.
However, I can’t be unproductive. It’s just not in my nature. So I decided to start assembling our new patio furniture while The Husband was still sleeping.
If I started, I knew we’d finish it.
And we did.
It just took ALL morning.
Then we had the darn bench to do, too.
Ryan stole my camera for that shot and then camped out on the bench when I finished.
FINALLY our new outside oasis was done.
I’m in love.
The rest of the afternoon we just relaxed. I even dosed off for a quick nap before taking Ryan to spend one of his birthday gift cards at Target. He came back and was pretty much engrossed in Legos for the rest of the night.
To celebrate our new outdoor furniture I grilled.
I also decided to have a little fun with a new grain Bob’s Red Mill sent me.
I’m grateful they sent me samples but honestly I wish they’d work with me. I’ve tried, they’re just not interested.
Anyway, this is what I made …
It was DELICIOUS! Even The Husband thought so. The 8-year-old needed a bit more convincing but he ate it and Little Bean actually enjoyed it plain before I “fried rice’d” it all up.
We ate outside of course.
It was nice. :)
The rest of the night was cleanup, baths, and getting ready for tomorrow.
We also had a spurt of energy before bed and The Husband took the 8-year-old to play tennis at a local court. When they got back I snuck in my mile for #RWRunStreak.
That’s about it for me. The next week my blogging will be sporadic. Honestly, I can’t even wrap my head around the next few days. It’s going to be crazy!
Hope you had a great weekend!
