There were a few weeks where I’d throw up a #DailyYogurt idea a day, but I’ve been slacking lately.  Honestly, I ran out of yogurt and my pantry stock was hit hard after two weekends away. I’ll still share ideas as they come on Instagram, but I wanted to grab a few of my favorites and archive them here. Below each photo is my original Instagram comment.

1. Peppermint Patty

The husband bought me peppermint patties for V-day. I couldn’t help myself. 1 pattie + mini chocolate chips + a drizzle of syrup

2. Save Your Cereal Crumbs!

This #dailyYogurt is a nod to my frugal side. It’s topped with the crumbs I save from the bottoms of the strawberry shredded wheat boxes and freeze dried strawberry bag. No extra sweetener needed. It’s delicious!

3. Orange Date

Today’s #dailyYogurt is topped with a fresh mandarin orange, 1 chopped date, a chopped walnut and a touch of nutmeg. It’s amazing!

4. Grated Chocolate and Berries

Today’s #dailyYogurt is topped with frozen berries I warmed in the microwave. Then, just because I could, I grated a small square of dark chocolate on top. :)

5. Banana Graham

Today’s #dailyYogurt has banana, graham cracker crumbs and a chocolate swirl. :)

6. Sunflower Grapefruit

Today’s #dailyYogurt is topped with the most amazing pink grapefruit, sunflower seeds and honey.

7. Citrus Explosion!

Today’s #dailyYogurt is a citrus explosion! Nonfat Greek topped with grapefruit sections, mandarin orange, and grated lemon with pine nuts and honey. A-MAZING!!

8. Carrot Cake

Today’s #dailyYogurt is inspired by the carrot cake @vitamuffin top. I double toasted one and cut it into cubes to top the yogurt then added some grated carrot, a chopped walnut half and a bit of honey. It’s totally decadent!

9. Dried Fruit Fest!

It’s a dried fruit fest for #dailyyogurt! Just 5 g each of cranberries, blueberries, apricots, sunflower seeds and honey makes a tasty treat!

10. Orange Pecan Maple

Had a little fun with #dailyYogurt today. That’s orange pecan maple with a bit of flax.

11. Apple Graham

Today’s #dailyYogurt is topped with apple, crumbled graham cracker, honey and cinnamon.

12. Raspberry Chocolate Cake

Omg it’s only like 125 calories! That’s a new raspberry chocolate Vitacake cubed, frozen raspberries and 1/4 tbsp chocolate syrup.

13. Chocolate Raspberry

Yogurt topped with chocolate and peanut butter

1/4 cup frozen raspberries + 1/4 tsp raspberry extract + 1 tbsp cocoa powder + 1/2 tbsp honey = a much needed, delicious break from work. #dailyYogurt :)

14. Frozen Blueberry Puree

1/2 cup frozen blueberries pureed with 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt and 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa then topped with more frozen blueberries. #dailyYogurt

15. Chocolate Almond

1/4 tsp almond extract, 1/4 oz almonds and 1/2 tbsp chocolate syrup swirled in 1/2 cup nonfat Greek is pretty yum! #dailyYogurt

16. Who Needs Milk for Cereal?

This is my who-needs-milk-for-cereal #dailyYogurt It’s topped with puffed kamut (like puffed wheat,) frozen blueberries, banana and honey.

17. Chocolate Peanut Butter

I went smooth for today’s #dailyYogurt – that’s peanut butter, cocoa powder and honey mixed in making an indulgent, yummy snack.

18. Who Needs Ice Cream? (OK, I still do)

1/2 cup Greek yogurt + 1/2 cup frozen blueberries + 1/2 tbsp chocolate syrup drizzled on top = a who needs ice cream #dailyYogurt :)

19. Take THAT, M&Ms!

The husband was having M&M’s and instead of digging in mindlessly I chopped 1/4 of a serving and 1/4 tbsp of Hershey syrup and topped 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt. #dailyYogurt

20. Sunflower Cranberry

A yummy, chewy, crunchy #dailyYogurt today. Craisins, sunflower seeds and honey.

Side Note

I’ll say this until my dying day: Food you prepare is ultimately more satisfying then something you just grab on the run. Take a minute the next time you want a snack and have fun with it. Make food your friend instead of something you’re constantly fighting. That’s what GreenLiteBites is all about for me.

    Yummy! Love the ideas and will definitely try some of them. I just also had some ideas of my own on the basis of your ideas: walnuts and pomegranate seeds with the orange date, a little vanilla with the blueberry icecream yoghurt and a little white chocolate with the raspberries, my all-time favourite combination.
