I know I say this all the time, but I have to make this quick. It’s been a long day. I’m exhausted and, honestly, stuffed on McDonald’s. Ugh.
It all started with a run this morning. I headed out before everyone woke up and had fun looking for a #YogaADay spot.
I came home and hung out with the kids for a bit…
..before heading to the grocery store.
Yes, that would be my 2-year-old attempting to take a bite out of a rutabaga. This is the same kid who won’t eat apples or strawberries.
He cracks me up!
We came home the same time as The Husband did from his football game.
Notice the reusable bags! Not only did I remember them but I also clipped some coupons from EveryDayHealthyValues.com. Who I’m excited to be working with this month. More on that later!
For a late lunch/early dinner, we fired up the grill!
It’s finally KIND OF getting warm out but still nowhere near the spring temperatures we’re used to.
After dinner we were all about the circus! We cleaned up, made lunches for tomorrow and got on the road.
All of sudden the car started pulling and we realized we had a flat. We pulled over, put the donut on and debated if we should still head into the city.
It’s not that far so we went for it and then …
The donut blew!
Our flat got a flat. Can you believe it?
We were stuck on the side of 95 for about an hour with our own circus in the car.
The 7-year-old was disappointed at first, but he got over it in a few minutes, and we ended up having fun in the car chatting and playing with the radio.
Finally, after 2 hours, we got the car in the shop and decided on McDonald’s for dinner even though it wasn’t my first choice. I ordered my normal salad but fell prey to some fries, leftover McNuggets and 2 chocolate chip cookies they gave us for an order mix-up.
WHY do they do that?
And why couldn’t I just walk away?
I finally told the husband to put the other 2 in his pocket. Even though I was stuffed I could have easily eaten them as well.
Now I’m feeling bloated and gross. You’d think this lesson was learned long ago. Alas, here I am. Again.
Whatev. Tomorrow’s a new day. Now I have to figure out how to get to the gym and get the baby to daycare with one car in the morning, because I’m going to the gym!
Cookies or no cookies, flat tire or circus, it was still a sensational Sunday because I went for a beautiful run, spent the day with my boys, stocked the fridge with good food for the week, and get to wake up and do my best again tomorrow. :)
