One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Happy Easter!

I’m just popping in to share a few photos from our Easter Sunday.

Every year the whole family comes to my house for the weekend. I’ve been cooking non-stop since Friday! Fish, shrimp, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted asparagus, pork loin, ham, roasted potatoes, even this new salad was a hit! I also had fun with dessert this year: melted chocolate, angel food cake and fresh berries.

On the surface it all sounds like healthy, light stuff but MAN have I eaten my way through the weekend. Honestly, I’m in overstuffed mode and yet again reminded why I don’t eat like this all the time –it just doesn’t feel good.

No regrets though, I had an awesome weekend. I enjoyed lots of chocolate and I’m ready for my return to normalcy tomorrow. Well, almost normalcy, The 7-Year-Old is on Spring Break all week so I’ll be, umm, distracted, but I have a plan. Every day we are going to do something fun. I’ll blog more about this on TheUnworldlyTravelers, as I’m looking at it as staycation of sorts.

Anyway, here are some shots from today. We had a great Easter!

Having a 2-year-old makes these holidays extra special fun. Don’t they?

Having a 7-year-old is also fun  but in an “OMG-when-did-you-get-so-old” kind of way.

Irish was in rare form this morning as she’s normally nowhere to be found when we have company.

The kids went outside to play with bubbles and this little guy was having a blast. It totally tuckered him out.

Random holiday finger shot.

First, one kid couldn’t give me a NON-goofy face.

Then the other couldn’t.

A little family 100 pin bowling tournament. First champions were Sister-In-Law and me.

Second was The Husband and 7-Year-Old.

We are more competitive than I’d like to admit. ;)

OK, time for “Walking Dead” and “Game of Thrones.” Got to go! Hope you had a great weekend.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

    Hi Roni!
Happy Easter! And, how good was the Walking Dead last night!! ” :-)
I’m commenting to ask a question. I’ve been following your Yoga Pose a Day for a while now and decided I want to try it. Are you following an app or website that gives you a pose a day or are you making up your own? I’ve been searching through you blog to find the answer, but I don’t seem to be able to.

Happy Easter to you and your family.
Salad sounds good and needed after a weekend of candy, cheese, and crackers. Walking Dead was good but didn’t like where they were taking the boy to the dark side. Can’t wait until fall to see what happens next. On spring break also hope you enjoy it–lol.
