3 Bikram Classes Down…

… and some progress made!

I don’t have much time tonight. I’m honestly heading to bed early because I haven’t had an uninterrupted night of sleep all week. Between The Husband’s snoring and The Toddler crying in his sleep, I’m about to camp out in the basement!

Anyway, I escaped the kids this evening and headed to my third Bikram yoga class.

Bikram yoga is a 90-minute class where you practice 26 poses in a heated room.

You sweat. A lot.

The poses are challenging, but like all yoga, you do what your body allows you to do. I’m able to at least attempt each post but some make me wonder if my body will ever bend so easily.

I think it may, one day, and that’s one of the reasons I like it. After 3 classes I’m already noticing some progress! Especially in my balance.

It’s going to be really fun see how my body changes over time and I don’t mean aesthetically.

OK, I’m off! Shower and then sleepy time. Tomorrow I have the 4th workout in the CrossFit Open and I’m nervous. I don’t think I’m going to be able to score this week. Which reminds me, if you want to follow my progress click here to see my Athlete Page.

    there is a birkam yoga studio around the corner from my office. sometimes they have a board out front that says $25.00 per month for unlimited for new people – i have to try it!

    I feel your pain, Roni!
    Once my boys were old enough that I didn’t worry about them I started wearing ear plugs. It’s the only way I get any sleep. Hubby had surgery which helped the snoring, but there is no way I can sleep through it.

    Yoga poses are good to improve the body flexibility and it rejuvenates your body and soul. Doing bikram yoga is not easy, it has more difficult poses that we can’t try easily.

    Yeah that snoring biz is for the birds!!! I put in earplugs last night but really wanted to shove them up his nostrils- that may not go over so well so I put them in my ears- and all I could think is he’d better wake up if the kids cry and I hope I hear my alarm!
