10 Things That Made Tuesday Great!

I had an amazing Tuesday! It was pretty much like any other Tuesday except I decided to consciously make it great by recognizing the awesomeness in the mundane.

1. I started my day with an early workout that almost didn’t happen

Little Bean was up a few times in the middle of the night and I didn’t get much sleep. I stared at the clock, laying in bed at 5:30 a.m., debating with myself. Then I decided at the end of the day the workout would make me feel better than an extra hour of sleep. Now that it is the end of the day, I can honestly say I was right.

2. I found the perfect pair of jeans for 10 bucks!

Little Bean was like, “yeah.. that’s right!” ;) We found them on a clearance rack at H&M and they fit! I felt like won the lottery.

3. Failed #YogaADay Attempt.

I thought it would be fun to do today’s pose at the mall since we were there and it was rainy outside. After 5 failed attempts, this was the best shot I captured.

The process was fun though and Little Bean was super cute mimicking me. Somehow he totally gets it. Did you see this?

4. Finally finished my new business cards!

While Little Bean was napping, I finished working on 4 different card designs for each of my sites. It’s been something I’ve been wanting to do for a looong time. I’m tired of having outdated cards. I decided to give this approach a chance. Now when I’m having a conversation about my food blog, I can whip out the GreenLiteBites one. If I’m talking travel? BAM — there’s TheUnworldlyTravelers card.

5. FitBloggin’ Socks!

I haven’t talked much about the conference, but I’m neck deep in planning and these have been a fun distraction. Notice that the left and right are different. The company messed up on the first order so they send me a replacement batch. Now I’m deciding between stripe and no stripe.

6. Entertainment while Cooking Dinner.

The 7 -year-old had a friend over, which is entertainment enough, but tonight the 2-year-old was simply precious.

7. Grated Oranges!

A few days ago I froze an aging clementine instead of throwing it away. I then grated the whole thing and mixed it with 1/2 cup non-fat Greek yogurt and sprinkled a few sunflower seeds on top for today’s #DailyYogurt. No extra sweetener needed!

8. Another Evening at the Park.

Complain all you want about setting the clocks ahead. I’ll be playing outside with my boys instead.

Tonight we brought the lacrosse sticks for some practice.

You have no idea how happy this makes me. Best. Feeling. Ever.

10. Right now.

Right now I’m sitting on the couch catching up on “The Americans” and hanging out with The Husband, and there is no other place I’d rather be. :)

    Can I ask what size jeans you have on? I am close to your height and you totally have the body I am striving for.
    I thought that salad looked great, I might have to head to the store to get the ingredients!

      Thanks so much! The jeans are european sized there. That pair is 29/32. The only other pairs I have are 6’s from Old Navy.

      No wonder you look freaking awesome. I am a size 12 and am working hard to get to single digits. Thanks for the inspiration! Have you found Crossfit to help you shrink in size? I am starting to lift weights this week and hope it helps.

      Honestly I’ve noticed a BIG difference. I feel way leaner even though the scale is pretty much the same. Lifting heavy is definitely making a difference.

    Well it’s really a great day. With kids you can’t figure out how the time spends. Weekdays enjoyment is very less comparison to weekends but if you find any good for you.

    Yesterday (tuesday) I stepped out of my comfort zone…just like you speak of all the time…and tried a Barre class. I was nervous at first, not knowing anyone, could I do it, would I like it…I left that class signed up for an unlimited monthly pass. I LOVED every minute! I can see how it will help with toning and stretching my muscles properly and I think it will be good for the running I attempt to do every other day or so. That made my Tuesday great!

    I’m not a blogger but I am so passionate about nutrition and fitness, I would love to attend a fitness themed convention! The agenda for FitBloggin sounds great–not too much blogging and business that it wouldn’t appeal to me. Of course, the dates and location don’t work for me this year! I would love a location in the midwest!

    I will say I like the striped socks a lot better.
