One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Tough Mudder SoCal 2013 Video

I just got home from my weekend in Temecula, CA where I completed my third Tough Mudder with friends Jimmy and Bobby.

I feel amazing!

Sore… Tired… but AMAZING!

This was by far the toughest of the Tough Mudders for me. The obstacles were intense, the terrain rough. I cramped badly about halfway through. I was freezing.

I would describe the whole event as grueling.

I loved every grueling minute!

I faced some major fears and completed (well, at least attempted) every obstacle. The photo above was taken immediately after one of the hardest mental obstacles for me. It was dark and scary. There were shocks and water. I was scared out of my mind! But I screamed and cursed my way through it! You can see me emerge victorious from it around minute 3 in my recap video…

Ok, it’s late. I need catch up with The Husband and then get some sleep!

Aaaack! I feel amazing!

Hope you have a great weekend!

I think the next thing you need to do is a “What to Wear” post for Tough Mudders – do you throw those clothes away after? Do you have a particular pair of shoes you use and then throw away?

      February 13, 2013

Have it on my list! Will totally do a Prepping for Tough Mudder Post including what to wear and bring!

You got ‘er done! Congrats! Saw some obstacles I had not seen before… What on earth was the black tarp covered obstacle? That course looked very hilly, I would have loved to see those vistas while running, inspiring. I am scheduled to do Tough Mudder Toronto in May, my first one. I “ran” alongside my husband’s team last August and took pics and watched (a lot), and got bit by the “I can do that” bug. Don’t feel ready yet, but that is ok.
