Celtic Solstice 2012 5 Miler

12 Comments 1714 views

I don’t have much time but I wanted to pop in real quick and share my results from the Celtic Solstice 2012 5 Miler. I ran it in 45:55 that’s a 9:11 mile average! I’m shocked!

Since I was there alone I decided to do a quick vlog.

As I say in the video. It’s been a few weeks since I ran and this is exactly why I keep at least 1 event a month scheduled. It helps keep running in my life even when I may be able to do it on a regular basis.

Next I’ll be registering for the Resolution Run and then it’s time to scope out a few other events for 2013 including some Tough Mudders! I told you, I really am obsessed with them. :)

Oh! and I loved getting a fun location for today’s #YogaADay! This is the Half Boat Pose AKA Ardha Navasana over Baltimore.

I shot it by propping my phone up with my iPod on the ledge. I really love the challenge of taking these photos. It’s so fun!

Ok, got to go. After hearing the horrible news yesterday we spent last night together as family doing crafts and went out to dinner. Then after the race this morning I took the kids to a birthday party and grocery shopping. I’m whipped BUT we have a babysitter coming for date night. Life’s too short. I’ll rest tomorrow.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Congrats on the run Roni! That is awesome that you sign up for these and do them all by yourself. Love the Yoga a day pose too.

I’m starting to love running races solo – i find i run much faster! I did this one, too. I live in Hampden, and I’ve always seen the runners storm Hampden for post-run eats, so i had to try it. So glad i did! it was a lot of fun.

Which resolution run do you do?
