One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Weekend Quote: It’s the Journey NOT the Destination

6 Comments 1426 views

“Sooner or later we must realize there is no station, no one place to arrive at once and for all. The true joy of life is the trip.” -Robert Hastings

When I realized this I stopped waiting until I was a certain size, saw a certain number, looked a certain way, landed that perfect job, lived in that perfect house, had that perfect marriage, etc, etc, etc. It’s about falling in love with the process of it all.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I love it! Love it! And it´s so true!! It became easier when I stopped waiting for things to be perfect!

So true Roni! I was having a down morning yesterday & contemplated “quitting” my current healthy streak/weight loss effort & then it hit me- whats the alternative? Quit & regain the weight? NO! Keep going & possibly stay this size (which is already BMI healthy range! Even though its at the top of it!) or possibly lose some more?! YES! It is absolutely more about the journey, the true lifestyle change, and progress. Progression over Regression!
