Almost every Tuesday and Thursday for the past 6 months or so I’ve woken up at 5:30 AM, ran 1.17 miles to the gym, took BodyPump and then ran 1.17 miles home.
This morning I just. didn’t. feel. like. going.
I’m Frazzled. Frantic. Finished.
Some days when I feel like this I put myself on autopilot and go anyway. Of course I never regret it. But sometimes, I take the day, skip the workout, and that’s ok too!
This is part of that all or nothing mentality we talk about so much. Missing one workout is no big deal. Missing one workout and using it as a reason not to go the next time or the next time or the next time, is.
So I’m planning on my normal Wednesday workout tomorrow. A walk to the gym, yoga and then a walk home. I take the baby with me in the morning and he gets an hour in the gym daycare. It tuckers him out and then I get to get some work done. It a nice little routine.
So I took photos of my food today. For some reason keeping the photo food journal is making me feel slightly more grounded while I’m overwhelmed with everything else.
I split a banan real quick with Little Guy before getting him on the bus…
Then I came back and split an apple with… ya ready for this… The TODDLER. (He’s gonna be 18 months next week. Yikes!) I smeared some almond butter on my slices.
A little mid day snack of strawberry greek yogurt with some cocoa powder mixed in.
It’s one of my favs. :)
Lunch was sushi AGAIN. It’s not me. I swear! It’s the husband!
I got a salad…
And then ordered 1 special roll that had crab and spicy salmon inside with seared peppered tuna on top.
Mid afternoon I was hungry and made a quick tomato salad with a cheese stick, some basil salt and a sprinkle of parsley.
I had to take the boys to the store and run some errands. It was late, we got hungry and dipped into a Sun Chip Bag.
Note: once the phone comes out it’s all The Toddler wants. lol
Another note: I ate more sun chips that I should have. Damn they are addictive!
Dinner was a "kitchen sink" quasadilla with avocado, cheese, leftover chicken, red pepper, leftover corn and spinach.
After dinner sweet bite. A pluot.
Oh! and I’ve been getting requests to bring back the Ask Roni’s videos. It’s on my radar. I promise! I’m hoping for October. :)
