I’m going to photo my way through this while watching Once Upon a Time and Revenge. It’s been a long day. FUN! But long.
It started bright and early with a morning run.
I was asked by a friend to run the half in the Baltimore Running festival on October 13. I’m by no means prepared. I rarely run anything over 3 miles anymore. So I embarked on the long loop by my house to see how I’d managed it.
No bad! I walked a few times but felt great during and after.
I decided to register. What the heck!
When I got back from the run, Ryan laced up and we headed back out.
He likes to run to the park (about 1/4 of a mile) and then do exercises. We did wall pushups on the jungle gym, dips, and climbed the rock wall. Then we spent time on the swings and just chatted.
It was so nice.
We sprinted home.
What a great way to start the day!
The husband had golf plans with his Dad and headed out early.
Look at that expression.
He HATES mornings. lol
Breakfast with my boys. :)
I had an egg and egg white omelet with kale and bacon bits.
After breakfast we cleaned up a little. It’s Little Bean’s favorite things to do…
He cracks me up!
The kids were being so good I decided to slink away and….
Clean my bathroom. It was in a sad state of affairs.
Then it was laundry time.
And clean rooms time.
I’m slowly turning my old office into a true guest room.
And I finally chose a color.
I made a commitment to myself never to shy away from color again and right now purple is the only one we are missing upstairs. My room is blue, the bathroom is red, Bean’s room is orange, and Ryan’s room is green. I love it!
Anyway, someone when down for nap…
and I worked Ryan to the bone!
He was so helpful today.
Lunch was a chicken, yellow pepper and kale quesadilla I made with leftover BBQ Marinated Grilled Chicken.
Ryan had peppers on the side but I had a leftover wedge of grilled cabbage. YUM!
After lunch we relaxed a bit. I edited that video of Evan emptying the dishwasher and then enjoyed a bowl of yogurt topped with walnuts, dried mango and honey.
One last chore.
Hermit Crab time.
Computer art time.
Then we were off to the store for supplies and someone’s Halloween costume.
We came home, put away the groceries and made a quick dinner with sausage, potato and peppers.
After dinner we started to decorate for Halloween.
A little early? Yes. But it is one of our favorite holidays. :)
The Husband came home, put the kids to bed while I folded the towels, and then I relaxed with some PopChips and Salsa.
Once this is posted I’m going to bed! I’ve been staying up to late and struggling with the nighttime mindless eating again. There’s such an easily solution, yet I procrastinate bedtime like a child. It’s sad.
Hope you had a great weekend!
