One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Overwhelmed Yet In Control

10 Comments 1424 views

OMG I feel like I’m in a constant frantic state but in a GOOD way. I’m rocking the conference planning, posting on the blogs, meeting deadlines for clients, cooking dinners, hanging with the family and even going to bed at a decent time. Somehow I’m juggling it all. I feel overwhelmed yet in control.

So far.

Come talk to me in 20 days and I may be singing a different tune. That’s how much longer we have before FitBloggin’. I’m in the home stretch now and it feels good but I also know it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Anyway, I ROCKED the food journal today. The past few days have been a bit of a disaster in the night time eating department. I was totally stress eating chips and dry cereal. Not pretty.

But I had a good talking with myself, got a grip today and focused on real food. Success!

In other news…

Ok, brain dump is done. Rant is over. Here’s the food journal. I’m going to bed. I have an early morning workout planned. Only 1 more week before the Tough Mudder. I felt ready but with the gym being closed the week, now I don’t. It’s strange.

Oh! and speaking of mud runs, I was quoted in a reuters article! Check it out here!

ok, now I’m really done. Good night! :)

What Why
2 eggs + some melon I was totally lazy and didn’t feel like cutting up veggies so I just scrambled them.
Spaghetti Squash and Avocado Burrito (click here for recipe) SO happy I had all ingredients for this! It’s just a fun lunch!
leftover Simple Red Cabbage Slaw with Chia Seeds (click here for the recipe) This is SO simplistically yummy! You have to try it.
Sausage skewers and a quinoa/bulgur/pea concoction that I made up. First of all, the sausage recipe was just featured on Premier Protein which is super cool but the quinoa/bulgur/pea concoction is a funny story. I loved it. Bean loved it. Husband and 7 year old did NOT. lol Anyway, it’s fun experimenting.
Banana Soft-Serve Brought out the old yonanas machine! :)
Just an after dinner walk today.
Awesome! Totally rocked it and I always do better in the food department when I do.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Teenagers TOTALLY welcome especially with parents. It’s a conference I started 3 years ago for bloggers (or wannabe bloggers) interested in fitness, wellness, good food and a healthy lifestyle. Check out our agenda here…

That is the best feeling in the world – being in control! Especially when you have so much on your plate as you do!

I’m hoping one of these years I’ll be able to attend fitbloggin. Maybe when the little guy is a bit older. :D

Is there an extra promo code for the 25% off, or has the price been reduced already?
I REALLY want to come, and my husband is on board with it too. I could just commute since it’s like 15 minutes from my house.

nope, enter the code and then it takes another 25% off!

Ok. So I HAD to see your fridge. I realize that mine doesn’t look TOO hateful, just in dire need of a good scrub! And then it was….What?! You were in the Reserves? How in the heck did I miss that?! lol Where did you do Basic at? I had an eight week luxury stay at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Followed by an all-expenses paid trip to Ft. Sam Houston ( San Antonio) for 10 weeks. Then it was off to Germany!

ME TOO! I was “lost in the woods” the summer of ’94
Got through basic but never finished my training. I was a split op and got sick the next summer. They discharged me “uncharacterized” basically time ran out.
