One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

New Sneaks, My First Passport and Today’s Food Journal.

Real quick tonight. I’m exhausted after a day of FitBloggin‘ planning and post writing. There’s 36 days before the big event and I’m freaking out a little.

Ok. A LOT. But let’s not talk about that right now. I just need to walk away for a bit.

In other news…

I FINALLY bought new running shoes after THREE YEARS. This is the great thing about being a blogger: I can pear back in my history and the last time I purchased new sneaks was Aug 23 2009 just a few weeks before the marathon.

It was about time I retired them (Note: They will be worn during the next Tough Mudder.) I stuck with Mizunos but went with a more minimal shoe. It’s called the Mizuno Women’s Wave Ronin 4

LOVE them. I wasn’t sold on the red but I’m not buying them for looks. They are light, durable and fit like a charm. Like my last Mizunos, they fit my foot like a glove.

I also got my Passport today!

This is a big deal for me. If you read my bucket list you know how much I want to travel. Well, getting my passport was the first step. Check out my post about it on the travel blog by clicking here.

Besides that I also posted on GreenLiteBites a fun idea to use up some fresh basil. It’s called Basil salt and it is delicious! Click here to check it out.

OK, here’s my food journal for today. Don’t forget, tomorrow is weigh in day! :)

What Why
Most amazing bowl of oatmeal ever! (no, seriously, click here for the recipe) Split with the baby but sans chocolate chips for him. He loves the PB and Banana combo!
A few cucumbers and trascuits with laughing cow, dried cranberries and sunflower seeds Was working on a post and photo shoot for The Laughing Cow. I had to eat the props. :)
Leftover Spaghetti with Fresh Basil and Summer Squash (this will be my next idea on GLB) with leftover BBQ chicken. LOVE leftovers for lunch!
Quick salad of fresh tomato sprinkled with the Basil salt. 5 fish sticks, broccoli and summer squash seasoned with Basil Salt – click here for the recipe Quick dinner since it was just me and the kids.
Small bag of PopChips with Laughing Cow I had a totally chip craving.
Cucumber smeared with Laughing Cow topped with dried cranberries The snack bug really hit tonight and this was my answer.
3 mile run this morning
Not bad today. I filled up my jug twice!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I can’t believe you went three years. I go more than 9 months or so and start getting shin splits.

I use my “retired” running shoes for all my mud runs. Just a quick toss in the washer, and they come out cleaner than they were before.
