A Super Fast Sensational Sunday

18 Comments 1842 views

Super fast for TWO reasons.

1.) I’m running out of day because I spent to much time posting on The Unworldly Travelers. You got to check it out later. Jen and I went to see Poison and Def Leppard in concert last week. Click here to see our thoughts on the show and, umm, us singing Unskinny Bop. lol

2.) I ran my fastest race EVER tonight. Like SUPER fast! I’m flabbergasted. More on that in a bit. Let me share a few pics of our Sensational Sunday in order.

Early morning was spent on the computer with Ryan and another Pokemon lesson.

He’s really obsessed.

Evan soon joined us.

That’s how he wakes up every day. It’s so nice.

We did a few chores before breakfast.

He loves handing me the dishes to put away. Today he realized he could get the top too.

Breakfast was some melon and one of these…

I got a free coupon at BlogHer this year and decided to give them a shot.

HOLY sugar!

I actually had to mix it with plain yogurt to tone down the sweetness. Both kids didn’t like it either.

We made a new "Ryan’s Rock Out Mix"

He named and picked the songs. Not bad!

More chores.

Then play.

School clothes integration. Time to go through drawers.

A game of Go Fish.

Lunch!

The boys had burgers but I made a Pepper and Corn Soup with Fresh Cilantro and topped it with avocado. I’ll post on GreenLiteBites as soon as possible.

MORE laundry.

More play!

Ryan wanted to see if we could take a picture where it looked like he was flying with jet pack. lol

Watermelon time!

Ice cream with my boys.

Race time!

Here’s where the second super fast comes in.

Can you see that? Go ahead, click on it.

HOLY $hit I ran a 5k in 26:13. I’m speechless. That’s an average of 8:27/mile.

I cannot stress how not only did I never think I’d run but once I started I never, ever thought I’d average much less than a 10 minute mile.

I ran my best in this race and it was HARD but man I felt amazing afterwards.

I came home and had dinner with the boys,

cleaned up, played some Wii and started blogging.

What a FANTASTIC day! Now I shall go to bed before I snack on something I’ll just regret in the morning. :)

Hope you had a great weekend!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. I’ve been a reader for years, and just wanted to pop in and say congrats! Your time rocked. I’m more of a spin girl and trying to get excess weight off right now. Thanks for always being real!

Congrats on your race time! That yogurt makes me mad… that people think they are making a good choice when they pick up a product like that, and it contains that much sugar. Sugar content is the first thing i look at, but i know so many people don’t, and it’s all the hidden sugars in everything that make people more hungry and hinder fat loss/ health goals.

Hi Ronnie. That is an amazing accomplishment. You should feel really good about your time. Looks like you pack so much into your day with your kids. That’s awesome! PS. I don’t think I knew your youngest son’s name was Evan. I always think of him as “little bean”. lol.

Great time on the race! I’m a very slow runner. Also, I can’t eat Activia. I had it once, and I felt like I was dying my stomach hurt so bad!

Way to go Roni!!! Woo Hoo on your fantastic race! Could I borrow Evan for a few minutes every couple of days. I HATE unloading the dishwasher, and he looks like he loves it. :) What an adorable photo!!! Have a wonderful Monday.

I sure hope that is something else you can mark off you bucket list–LOL. Congrats on such a good run. It takes me 35 minutes to walk a mile.

Great job on the speedy 5k! That must feel so good! My fastest 5k is about 32 minutes – I’d love to get to the under 30 mark.

I save them all and put them in a collage on my office wall. I’ll try to remember and take a pic tomorrow.
