I haven’t had time to make a big deal about this but I’m moderating a panel this year during BlogHer’s HealthMinder Day. It’s called Good Coach, Bad Coach?
What does a fantastic role model for fitness and nutrition act like online? When do role models become targets? When does language become labels? Fitness & nutrition bloggers expose not just issues, but themselves, and to do so takes thick skin and courage. On the other side of the coin: how do you become a resource and guide without shaming or judging your readers? Roni Noone moderates a conversation with experienced fitness & nutrition bloggers Terry Walters,Tina Shoulders, and Erika Nicole Kendall, as they share the pitfalls and pleasures of community management.
I’m actually excited about the other Fitness track sessions as well, Technology Rocks Your Running Socks (gadgets, gizmos, apps, and web sites to help you manage your health and achieve your fitness goals) and Dedication vs. Obsession
BlogHer is allowing each speaker to bring a guest to HealthMinder Day but how could you attend it and not all of BlogHer? That’s crazy talk! You have to experience the entire conference. So I thought why not give away the HealthMinder guest ticket but also a full conference pass.

If you’ve never been to a BlogHer before it’s an event to be experienced. Thousands of female bloggers all in one place at one time? It’s utter madness! Madness in a 3 day continuous party kind of way. :)
