One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

BlogHer Food Day 1 Photo Journal

I had SUCH an amazing day! Of course now it’s late and I don’t have much time to share so I’m going to let the photos I took tell the story…

The Breakfast spread was INSANE.

I skipped the danishes and stuck with fruit, a few potatoes and 1 each of the meats.

What can I say? I have a soft spot for bacon and sausage.

There are a lot of people here.

Not as many as the main BlogHer Conference but enough to feel a little lost.

At a break I solved my whole battery forgotten in Baltimore problem.

It felt good to have my Canon back so I just snapped a few shots on the walk back.

I came back just in time for lunch.

The food was interesting…

but YUMMY! I tried a little of everything.

I went to two great sessions in the afternoon. One with Catherine from Weelicious got me totally psyched to get back into video seriously on GreenLiteBites. I think it’s time to invest in some basic equipment.

At the reception I hung out with these fabulous women…

From Left to Right that’s Amie from, Amelia from, me and Katie from

Katie and I ended up having the best dinner together at a Thai food place called Wild Ginger just down the street. OMG SO GOOD!

Then it was off to the Silkology party where I had, oh, umm, a few of these…

Here’s the ingredient list.

As someone who drinks Baileys and Almond milk I love that Silk is going down the mixed drink path. So fun!

And Finally, may I present Dan.

We met Dan and his wife at the bar and he asked us 101 questions about blogging. Why do I do it? How do people find me? How do I make money? etc., etc., etc.

There’s no doubt I love talking to fellow bloggers but chatting with non-bloggers is sometimes just as fun.

Ok, off to bed. I’m going to wake up early for a run. Got this from the concierge…

I brought the GoPro. Hoping to get a few good shots of Seattle for a fun video!

Until tomorrow. :)

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

You’re in my city, YAH! A few things, in bullet point fashion.

*Those blue trees are ugly and make me cringe when I drive by them.

*Do you get to leave the city for a bit? If you hop on the I90 for 30min there is a chance to view Snoqualmie Falls which is pretty cool. You can take a hike down to them which is easy and fun or you can see them from a view point. Also you get to see all the amazing greenery this time of year. If you have time, I would really recommend it. Seattle, the city, is amazing but the surrounding areas are what really make it awesome.

*If you want a view of the city the Columbia Tower is in walking distance from you and only costs $6ish to get up to and is not nearly as crowded as the Space Needle. A MUCH better experience in my book. Don’t forget to check out the ladies bathroom at the top. GLASS WALLS! Also, check out the Starbucks on the 40th-ish floor. It’s cool too.

Have so much fun in Seattle!

I am loving the pictures and play by play! With it being one of my favorite places in the world I am enjoying each picture and hearing about what you see and do! I love the map of the run. That should be challenging given the hilly streets!!!
Listen if your hubby eats junk food for a few days and feeds it to the boys…what is the worst that can happen? Can’t control it from there so let them have some male bonding time and some fun together while you do what you love and get some much needed alone time!

I’ve been moping around the house all week, disappointed that I couldn’t make it to the conference this year. You’ve captured the experience so well that I’m feeling less sad and more excited for next year now. Thanks for sharing!

If the weather stays glorious see if you can get to Ray’s Boathouse. Sit on the deck and have a glass of wine. It is just beautiful.

The food looks awesome! Glad you got your camera battery!
