The project I told you about it shaping up! Made great progress today but my house and my inbox are a complete disaster.

Do what I can when I can, Right?

I’m avoiding the mess in the kitchen to focus on some of my goals with you. It’s way more fun. ;)

First of all, I’ve been ROCKING the No Nighttime Snack Challenge. Tonight I did get a little hungry so I had a grapefruit. Definitely not a mindless munch and totally satisfied my hunger and my cravings.

The last 2 days I’ve been so busy I pretty much ate the same 2 things for breakfast and lunch…

A 2 egg spinach and bacon bit omelete.

Little Bean’s a big fan of eggs. :)

For lunch some leftover Chickpea and Orzo soup I made on Tuesday…

This stuff is GOOD! Unfortunately I didn’t measure anything. It was a throw-stuff-in-a-pot-and-make-a-quick-dinner dinner. I can tell you I used about 5 cups of stock, 2 cans of chickpeas, onion, carrots, onion, cumin, curry, tumeric, coriander, and whole wheat orzo. Seriously yummy!

Dinner last night was a leftover salmon burger I pulled out of the freezer…

The boys had regular burgers but I didn’t have enough meat for the 3 of us so it worked out nice.

Tonight I grilled a turkey loin and made a fabulously easy Broccoli Slaw.

I’ll post the story and recipe on GreenLiteBites this weekend. It’s really funny but I’m running out of time and I really need sleep.

So that’s basically been my food for the past 2 days. That and possibly a McD’s cone or 2. ;)

In the running department I have some fun fun fun news! I’m not sure if you noticed but I’ve completed an event every month this year so far. My goal is to keep that momentum going. Here’s what I have planned the next few months.

That’s right! I’m doing another one! And I’m EXCITED! I feel like I found "my thing." I never had a "thing" at least not in an athletic sense. I didn’t play sports growing up. I don’t think I ever really understood the appeal until now.

It’s official. I really did find my basketball.

It makes me happy.

    So glad you found your basketball! My basketball consists of changing it up on a regular basis – running, cycle burn, boot camp, kickboxing, etc. No “one” thing is my basketball…yet!

    Oh, my gosh, you’re doing the Color Run in Philly! I’m so jealous! Wanted to do that one, but don’t think it’s in the cards! Can’t wait to hear (and see) all about it!

    Omg that Philadelphia Color Run sounds like So.Much.Fun!!!!

    The DC color run is already sold out!!! So bummed. Loved all your food pics especially the salmon burger!! I watched your “how to” video to make those:)
