Weekend Quote: The Picture In Your Head

14 Comments 3015 views

I just need to blurt this one out. It’s that good…

What will mess you up most in life is the picture in your head of how it is supposed to be. -Unknown

I don’t know who said it. I saw it. I pinned it. I can’t get it out of my head!

There are lot of times I get angry or upset or depressed because things didn’t turn out like I expected. The husband didn’t act the way I wanted him to act. A job didn’t go how I expected it to go. For Pete’s sake, I spent half my life not happy because my body didn’t look how I thought it should look.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I could have saved a lot of therapy when I turned 30 if I’d just read that and believed it instead

Love it! When I was younger I thought I would be something so different than what I am now. That is sort of the fun thing about life, you never know what will happen!I am happy and that is all that matters.

One of my children lives by the motto of having little to no expectations so you won’t be disappointed if things don’t turn out. It’s hard not to have some type of expectation though.

This quote couldn’t be more appropriate or more meaningful than it is today. My husband and I are at many crossroads with our life together: career, location, and family planning. I must take a deep breath and remember this quote when times get confusing and stressful.

Totally True. It’s especially frustrating when you actually get near your imagined goal and then suddenly fall of track lol That’s what’s been happening to me for the past 6 months. Need to get my focus back :)

Love it, very good saying. It’s so true, we spend WAY to much of our life being disappointed because things didn’t turn out the way we thought they should. Just recently found your blog and I absolutely love it :)

this post helps everyone reading it have their live build up even more instead of being discouraged in their failures. we must be reminded that those failures lead to success.
