The First Sensational Sunday of 2012!

And I almost forgot! Well, not really I was just late with the camera. The boys woke up around 7. We made some Banana Pancakes and Little Bean LOVED them. I so wish I had a picture. :(

Once they were fed I made myself breakfast and then remembered the camera.

Little Bean was trying to figure out where the music was coming from. It was so cute. I have my ipod speaker in the corner of the kitchen.

After breakfast it was down to work. We had laundry all over the house!

I folded while the boys played.

Then we made coffee for Daddy on our new Keurig.

I’m in love and I’m not even a coffee drinker! Best Christmas gift of the year!

We brought the coffee up and instead of getting Daddy OUT of bed Little Guy was recruited into lazyville.

I left all the boys sleeping and hit the grocery store for some supplies. I needed veggies

and eggs.

I made some hard boiled for the week. Click here to see how I do it.

Little Bean woke up and we had a snack.

…while the boys organized the LEGOs.
Little Guy got a new Dino set that he loves.

Dad and I then tag teamed the laundry.

We got it all folded and put away!

It was getting close to race time so I grabbed a bar…

(The husband put these in my stocking. LOVE! Although high in points)

…and got everyone out the door.

Today was the Resolution Run. A 5k I’ve run for 3 years now. I convinced the husband to come so the kids could run with me. Last year Little Guy did it impromptu. This year he started and finished with me taking about a 2 mile playground break in between. ;)

Here’s some pics..

All the fresh air knocked one Little Bean out!

We got home and just relaxed for a bit before making dinner.

He was eager to help tonight. It was nice. :)

Dinner was baked ham, baked potato (I had a half) and some roasted carrots and parsnips.

We JUST tried parsnip the other day and fell in love. Click here to see the video where we taste test them. It’s priceless.

Somebody was VERY grumpy during dinner…

He was SO tired but thankfully Big Brother is here to entertain!

Big Brother also reminded me it was time for a new calendar!

Then it was bath time…

then game time..

finger time…

and after the kids went to bed, POPCORN TIME! :)

I picked up this cute little popcorn maker on sale for myself. LOVE IT!

That’s it. That was the very first day of 2012. My food journal was kept, I got a nice run in with my boys, and even got some cuddle time with Irish while writing this.

2012 Sensational Sunday’s have begun! :)

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I’ve had my Keurig 6 months and love it! After reading numerous reviews, it seemed to me that the people having fewer problems with it were using distilled water. I know Keurig sells a device to filter the water, so there is an issue with minerals in the water causing the machine not to work properly after a while.

You are off to a great start in 2012! My son loves those builders bars. They are available at SAMs club for a very good price.

I want Irish! I have a cat that looks similar except she’s more grey than brown. Unfortunately, she’s also a little evil kitty. :)

Does anyone else find “the finger” offensive? Not enough to make me stop reading yet, but I cringe everytime.I’m thinking I’m in the minority though!

I find the finger funny, ha ha. It must be because I could see my husband doing the same thing.

We also got a Keurig for Christmas and we are in LOVE. We have tons of coffee to use up that isn’t in a K cup so I bought EKOBREW refillable cups off of Amazon. So far so good.

    Congrats on your race!

As a mom of a little one, too, I would love to know what type of menu you are doing for Little Bean, how you are transitioning from baby food to table food, etc. It is hard to find solid direction re: it, so seeing what other people do helps!

Hi Amy – I post Baby Food Adventures on GreenLiteBites all the time… http://greenlitebites.com/category/misc-posts/baby-food-adventures/

I’m also blogging at Babble’s Baby First Year blog about, well, Baby’s first year! :) You can see my posts here –> http://blogs.babble.com/babys-first-year-blog/author/roni/

Hope they help. I don’t talk much about feeding babies here as I try to keep Roni’s Weigh about my weight loss thoughts and sharing my journals.

YES! It’s back!!! Hahahaha! I almost grabbed guess who for my oldest, but I picked up connect four instead.

I just asked you this on twitter, but how do you cook brussel sprouts? I want to try them, but am weary about it.

And I love that organizer in Ryan’s room! I need something like that for my play room…Ikea?

I love your Sensational Sunday posts!

    Happy New Year Roni!

I am curious to know what game is Ryan playing with (United States something)? It is in three pictures so he must really love it if it travels around with him :) I have a 6 yr old boy too (my youngest baby) and wonder if he’d like it as well. Thanks.

Just wanted to weigh in on the “finger thing” really quickly. A gesture is just a gesture until we assign meaning to it. While society assigns one meaning to it, it seems pretty clear to me that Roni and hubby have overthrown this and have assigned their own meaning. While I understand what Katie is saying, I think it’s awesome that Roni shares these things with us. Hey, she’s a rebel! It’s what we love about her! This is just another manifestation of that. Of course, this comment is just my humble opinion. :)

Personally, I love the finger pictures, especially the stealth ones & I agree with Mehgann.

Oh man, the finger thing is hysterical! I think my favorite is the one he managed to sneak in while holding the baby (not in this post). I find myself looking for it the pics now, lol.

Looks like your 2012 is off to a fabulous start! Congrats on your race and all the best to you and your family for the New Year!

So you gave Builder Bars a try! Yum. The PB and Mint ones are my favorite. I will hopefully be able to stock up on my next trip to the US later this month. They are my go-to travel snack – I am a disaster in airports when it comes to impulse buying and snacking, especially with flight delays. Delayed one hour…guess I should eat? :P

I love all the pictures and I’m glad you had a great Sunday. But what cracks me up all the time is “finger time”. It’s hysterical…you need to make a photobook for him of just finger time! LOL
