That’s all I have time for tonight. I’m trying to get to bed so I can wake up early and work out. Something I haven’t done in well over a year. I’m committing two mornings a week, Tuesday and Thursdays. I know it’s going to be tough but I also know I’ll feel so awesome all day.

Anyway, on to the journal!

Didn’t have much time for breakfast so I grabbed an apple and some Almond Butter.

For lunch I went a little overboard.

but it was for a good reason. Click here for the recipe and the reason why I made such a big lunch.

Afternoon snack was some hummus and veggies

HUGE NSV for me scooping out the hummus. I normally just grab the container and it’s gone before I know it.

After school the Little Guy and I split a can of Tropical Fruit Salad.

I also grabbed a handful of S’more Goldfish

We went out to dinner at our favorite Chinese/Sushi place. Started with some wonton soup…

Edemame..

and some sushi

I also had a few bites of the husband’s Hunan Chicken.

After the kids went to bed I made some hot cocoa with my customary shot of Irish Cream. :)

OK, off to bed! I’m gonna sleep in my running clothes!

You may have just started a new habit for me. Coffee and Irish Cream before bed!!! ahhhhhhh!
Enjoy your workout this morning and more importantly… enjoy the great feeling all day that it leaves you with!!

Curious about the Irish Cream too, real Bailey’s or flavored creamer? Oh and good for you getting up early tues/thurs! Wish my schedule would allow it but not now. I need to push myself to exercise late in the day…ugh!

It’s the real stuff. Not Bailey’s though a brand named Ryans. I actually like it better and the rumor is it’s much lighter although I’m not sure it’s true. Why doesn’t alcohol have to publish nutritional info?!? Drives me batty.

  5. Is your hummus flavored? We LOVE the chipotle pepper hummus at Trader Joe’s. I use it for a base on pizzas, tacos and dips. YUM!

Hey Roni – love your photo updates…new reader for the last few weeks and love how you show us your day, you eating all by the click on the camera. The fish for lunch, the picture effect – gave me a good chuckle. My friend sleeps in her workout clothes most days…gives her that kick she needs.Hope your morning exercise was grand.

Hi Roni. Can you tell me what that other veggie is with the cucumbers and tomatoes. I don’t recognize it. Thanks!

    Roni,

Crazy question but how do you make your hot chocholate? I stole your idea last night and had a cup of hot coco with a “big” splash of irish cream. Yummo! It hit the spot and can’t wait to do it again tonight.
I want to thank you for your great tips. I make smoothies (in a bullet) almost everyday. Kids love them, husband loves them, I love them. Well, I had fresh Kale delivered yesterday and tried it this AM in my smoothie. Wow, great! I am so excited because I know I will be able give it to the kids and they should drink it down without hesitation. Thank you for all the great tips and advice. I look forward to reading your blog everyday. Happy holidays to you and your family,
    Elayne

  12. Love, love, love the food tracking technique! I am so doing that tomorrow.

  13. Amanda says:

Thanks Roni! Your answer was VERY comprehensive :)

Elayne – Honestly, I warm up some unsweetened almost milk, add unsweetened dark cocoa powder and a splash of the Irish Cream. It’s so yummy!
