Just real quick today. I’m exhausted!

  • First, the winner of the Banana Choco Chip VitaTops is Kathy King. Congrats Kathy!
  • Second, I’m behind 2 recipes that need to be posted on GreenLiteBites. I can’t keep up with my own cooking! HA! In the meantime you get the latest school lunch post. Those are quick and dirty.
  • Third, I avoided processed carby snacks today by munching on some cashews and dried apricots. What a great combo! I’m trying hard to to stop the cookie/graham cracker/pretzel mindless grabs from the pantry. Day 1 has been a success!
  • Fourth, I made a FitBloggin’ decision! Will be announcing dates and location later this week!!
  • Fifth, poor BlogToLose is getting the short end of the stick again. I hope to get through the volunteer emails this week.
  • Sixth, and FINALLY, did you know my LIittle Bean turned 7 months today. 7 MONTHS!! Where does the time go?! Click here for a fun month-by-month photos journal. His growth is amazing!

    Yay! Another FitBloggin’ con I won’t be able to assist :/ Oh well… In other news, kudos on the healthy snacking! Maybe try fresh fruit next time? God knows I can eat my own weight of those dehydrated apple bits, but I can’t eat more than 2 fresh apples without going out of breath!

    I just tried lara bars last week (a combination of cashews, dates, cherrys, and other nuts and dried fruits). They have really helped keep me full, while satisfying the “carby” tooth.

    Those carbs are so sneaky in how they make us want more and more!

    Good job on cutting them out the snacky carbs today.

    I like dried apricots and raw almonds with just a little piece of dark chocolate. It’s like a destructed candy bar that is so satisfying and doesn’t make me crave more.

    Oh my… cashews… my kriptonite. I ate a whole bag of cashews this weekend, I’m not proud of myself – like 300g.
    On the other hand I’m happy for you that you were able not eat processed snacks by munching on some cashews.
    Oh, and happy 7 months to your Little Bean, not long now and he’ll be standing up!

    Good for you on conquering the carb beast for the day! Wow, seems like just yesterday you were taking a blog break to give birth! Time does fly!
