The Great GreenLiteBites Book Giveaway!

I meant to post this (well, these) yesterday, but I got distracted by cleaning out my closet. I know, sad. Right?

Anyway, it’s time I host a giveaway for MYSELF. I’ve been sitting on quite a few copies of the GreenLiteBites book and all they are doing is collecting dust in my closet. Not cool!

So I decided to give them away on ALL of my sites. That’s right.. all of them. By the way, I’ve decided I really am a nut ball with the blogs. I mean FIVE? Really? What is wrong with me?

The sad thing is I have ideas for more! Not that I’m acting on them, it’s just the way my brain works.

Anyway, If you didn’t know, I self-published a book called GreenLiteBites: Favorites From the First 3 Years. It’s a full color, photograph rich cookbook containing 80 pages of recipes and ideas for lighter, healthier meals from GreenLiteBites.com. Here’s a peak inside…

I was cleaning over the Labor Day weekend and ran into my Woman’s World December 4, 2007 issue with you on the cover, Roni. I started WW August 7 of that year and you were such an inspiration, and I remember right after Thanksgiving running out to the grocery store looking for you…..so impressed! By the night before Thanksgiving of 2008 I had lost 92.4 pounds and continued to lose a little more. By September 2010 I had gained back 17.2 pounds and now here I sit a year later with 10-12 pounds over my goal. I just cannot seem to get back into “lose” mode. You kept me motivated when I lost all my weight and now I’m trying to recreate my life the way it was when I lost it all. I hope I win one of your cookbooks!

Hey Roni, your triathlon buddy here…I’d love to win a book so I thought I’d enter. On a completely different note, I wanted to comment on your falls that you’ve had. Was going to do it in those posts, but thought you might miss it, so it’s here. Not sure if this will help or not, but definitely take a look at what you are weighing pre and post running (once before and once after). If you are a pound or two down after running, your problem might be your water intake. My hubby has been training for a marathon, but back when he did the half, he finished the race and then started slurring his words and feeling weird for about 10 minutes. We talked with our favorite physiotherapist (BIG runner) and she said that not enough water can play with your brain and cause all kinds of screw ups like trouble talking or even clumsiness. She also mentioned that your water intake the day before any long run is the most important (drinking water all day and then a couple more glasses before bed). She also said to try to be the close to the same weight after a long run as you are before. Hubby started drinking more the day before long runs and hasn’t had the problem since. Hopefully it will help you too!
