Weekend Quote: No Stopping

11 Comments 1528 views

I’m coming right out with this weekend’s quote because I need it…

“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” – Confucius

Today was a bit of a disaster on the eating front–definitely camp #1. But it’s just a small bump in the road. I’m still trucking.

I hear ya Roni. I was thinking just yesterday about how it’s just a little tiny bit at a time that gets it done. I count calories, and it’s just the little calorie deficits that add up over time that end up being pounds lost. Some days there are a lot of calories in, and not as many out, but we’re in this for the long haul, so it’s all good. We are practicing a way of living life that is satisfying, rich, and full of joy. Sometimes that joy is found sharing a rootbeer float with the love of your life. It’s all good. Thanks for always sharing yourself with us.

Thank you for this! This is one of my rules, or mantras, when I’m running. And when I say run, I mean verrrrrry slow jog. I started the Couch to 5K running challenge 3 weeks ago and I am loving it. It’s very hard and I tell myself, do not stop, do not stop, even if you are peeling yourself off the pavement, do not stop!

Great quote. Feels like it’s taking forever for me to lose the next 20 lbs. I keep freaking out when it’s the weekend because I don’t want to lose control around food. So far this weekend was fantastic and it’s all because I chose to eat my meals at home. I’m making your fruit kabobs next week for a bbq – and that gives me something to be excited about and something I know I can over-eat 10 of and feel guilt free. Keep on truckin’!

Love that quote! Life happens sometimes, like you say progress not perfection. One day will not make or break any lifestyle.

I have to remind myself of this every time I go out for a run or a ride! Definitely what keeps me going!

I totally agree, Roni. My weight loss is very slow right now and I have fallen a little, but I have no intention of quitting. That would be a big mistake. Thanks for sharing.

    Roni,
This week my goal is to write down EVERY single thing that I eat and really try not to use my extra weekly points, I want to prove to myself that I can do it! I feel full on my 29 points that I receive from my points plus! I am stick of food running my life and what I eat and when I binge determining the kind of mood I am in and getting depressed and down about it! I am determined this week to stick to it and not get down and upset about it, I feel way better in the long run when I eat healthier.
