A Weekend Off to Prioritize

12 Comments 1528 views

I’ve been feeling very overwhelmed lately, and it absolutely my own fault. I just keep taking on more and more responsibilities.

WHY?

It’s like I’m a glutton for punishment.

It’s time to prioritize.

What that exactly means, I’m still deciding, but right now I have too many hands in too many pots. I’m stressing over things when I don’t need to be. It’s affecting me, my goals, and my focus.

So I decided to unplug this weekend, stepping away from the computer on Friday.

Saturday was Little Guy’s birthday party. We had about 30 people over.

It was an absolute BLAST!

A lot of work, but still a blast.

The house still hasn’t fully recovered, but I have. It was exactly what I needed–a few days to just BE.

So I’ll leave you tonight with a few pics from the weekend and a clear head. Even though I don’t exactly know what I’m doing yet, I’m ready to start this week fresh. And that’s what Sensational Sunday’s are all about!

The Birthday Boy. He had a BLAST!

We rented a moonbounce. Talk about a workout! Jumping in that was the only one I got this weekend.

Little Guy and I playing with one of his gifts this mornings. :)

Lost ANOTHER tooth too!

Little Bean also had a blast. Well, when we was up at least. He’s been sleeping more. Click here for an update on him and quite possibly the cutest picture ever!

I will be back tomorrow with a food journal. I’m commiting to posting them for at least a week.

Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I was just thinking the same thing today. Any stress that I am feeling right now it MY fault, and I need to step away and prioritize my life. So glad you were able to unplug for the weekend. P.S. Little Bean is a doll!

Now is the time to figure out what you really “need” to be doing as opposed to what you “ought” to be doing or what you’re “expected” to do. It’s so nice to cut out all of the extraneous stuff that isn’t necessary. Been there. Done that. Sold the t-shirt in a yard sale.

Ive been focusing on the same A LOT over on FB. it’s so so cheesy but Ive learned for me that G-d doesnt help me prioritize G-d lays choices in my path which enable me to CHOOSE WHAT IS MY PRIORITY.

Happy Birthday Ryan! It’s been so fun watching you grow up!
Honestly, Evan has got to be the cutest baby around. Unplug all you want – those two are growing up so fast but we will always be here!

For some reason when I saw that pic of little bean all I could think of was Professor X from X-men…maybe your little man will have awesome super powers. You know, aside from being too adorable for words :)

I’m so glad you took some time for you and your family! I am amazed how many hats you wear Roni, and not surprised that sometimes you feel overwhelmed. You have SO much on the go!!! Take care of yourself.

Party looks like fun! My son would go crazy over that cake. He’s a dinosaur freak.

I unplug every weekend and it’s just what I need to recharge my battery!
We have had some work being done inside and outside of our house and last week was very stressful with workers everywhere! The outside of the house was a mess, the inside of the house was a mess!

On Saturday I was invited to participate at a food event in San Francisco and I wasn’t going to go because my house was a disaster. I was going to stay home and organize and clean up after the workers. I am very practical that way. Work before play!

My hubby encouraged me to go to the event saying that the mess would wait. So off we went! We had a the best day! We got to be a part of the Guinness World Record for the longest picnic table, watch Tyler Florence cook and eat amazing food!

I was so glad that I didn’t pass up the event and you know what? we managed to get the house back in order yesterday and all is well!

All work and no play isn’t fun for anyone!
