Before the madness of the conference hit me, Mehgann left this comment on my Getting Out of My Own Way post.

A very wise woman I work with once said to me
“Who looks worse?  The fat lady in the swimsuit, or the weirdo on the beach all covered in clothes?”  
…and she was totally right.  :)


Try not to hide yourself this summer… celebrate who you are and enjoy every moment. There will only be one summer 2011 lets take advantage of it!

    I’m a wierdo! LOL But only because , if I go to the beach, sometimes I just don’t feel like slathering on the sunscreen. I can burn on a winter day if the snow is too bright :)

    I love it! I swallowed my self consciousness yesterday and wore a bikini to the pool for the first time in over 6 years. I rocked it, felt good and am so glad I just did it. Even though I wanted to keep my tank top and shorts on… Enjoy your weekend! We are doing NOTHING too!

    I began weight watchers in April 2010 and on weight watchers I lost 53 pounds. I went from 216 to 163 (size 18-20 to a size 6-10 depending on the cloths). The problem I have is that I am only 5’1. I work out 5-6 days a week doing the elliptical for an hour 3 days a week and running 5 miles 3 days a week and lifting weights 3 days a week as well. I stopped counting points in April. I just got tired of counting points and I dont want to count for the rest of my life. I find that I can’t lose anymore weight but I have been maintaining my weight since April. I find myself going back and fourth with trying to lose the last bit of weight (goal 150). I feel like I exercise a lot and the only way I will lose more is if I doing something drastic. I look smaller than what I actually weigh. Most people think I already weigh 150 or a little less. I find myself obsessing over the scale and at times I want to throw it away but I feel I will gain weight back if I stop using it. I am so scared of gaining the weight back that I feel trapped. Any advice?

    This made me cry. I wish I could not hide. I just can’t bring myself to be comfortable in my skin no matter how much I try and try. Here’s to getting better at it, at least.
