We Interrupt this Blog for a Much Needed Upgrade

Yes that a picture of me setting up my new MAC Book Pro take from my old MAC Book Pro.

My geek-ness knows no bounds. ;)

I was planning on a traditional Sensational Sunday style post but set up of the new computer is taking longer then anticipated. Combine that with a fussy 2 month old and annoying 5 year old, a holiday weekend and you get one tired momma.

So the bad news is.. no "real" posts tonight.

The good news is.. I’m upgrading in the computer department to help my return to video. Armed with a new HD iSight camera, I hope to record my first video podcast since the baby AND a new video for GreenLiteBites.

On the weight loss front.. this weekend was a DISASTER. Bad. I mean REALLY bad. Let’s just say last night I went to bed armed with chocolate chip cookies.

Yeah.. don’t ask.

Whatever. It’s over and I’m moving on.

Little Guy’s lunch is made. Kitchen is cleaned up. And my fridge is filled with goodies from the farm stand. Let’s get this week started!

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Sorry to hear your weekend was such a bust, but on the flip side you look fantastic. : ) Hope it gets better! I love reading your blogs/FB statuses (is that “stati” plural?)

So glad you got a new computer! I am excited for new podcasts without that crazy buzzing sound! Way to move on from a rough eating day!

I went to bed with 7 Mint Oreos.

    Don’t ask.

    Yippee to the new computer!

My weekend food wise was not so great as well. Way too many goodies at the BBQ today, but like you said I am not dwelling on it!

How exciting!!! I got the same laptop for Mother’s day!! ( I’m betting my husband is regretting it, lol) Anyhoo, have fun getting it all set up!! And it sounds like you’ve moved on from the cookies and that’s all you can do!! I was home with my hubby and kiddos and all my little tastes and snacks added up big time, esp. when you finally add breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! Looking forward to the rest of the week too;-)

    Roni,

I would love to see a section on your site with pics of your son’s lunch. My son is the same age but a much pickier eater. I think it would be of interest to other mom’s. Thank you for your uplifting site.

I recently converted to Mac and totally love it.

Days like these happen, today is a new day. Have a wonderful one!

I’m interrupting relevant comments to ask a random question – since you’re running again and nursing – do you have any advice on the topic (i.e.- sports bras, when to run, etc.)? My baby is 3 weeks old and I’m looking forward to hitting the road again – but I’m curious about how to combine running and nursing successfully.

I had a major meltdown this weekend because I am watching my carbs due to this pregnancy and all I wanted was donuts and reeses peanut butter cups! UGH! Reading your post helped :) I’d love to go to bed with chocolate chip cookies.

I can’t tell you how normalizing it is to hear that even a blogging weight loss superstar occasionally succumbs to the call of the cookie(s). And your amazingly sane and healthy ability to “let it go” is also inspiring.

OK, Roni, I must say it is refreshing to hear that you have your “bad” weekends too. Since my last “baby” is over a year old and I still have 8 lbs to go to reach pre-baby weight, I was beginning to think you were super-human! You have been doing fantastic!!! SO SO SO much better than I did.

Roni–love reading even your “not real” posts :). And with the cookies, I know your hormones and emotions are probably still way out of wack, combined with just finishing hosting a conference, and the craziness of two (which is somehow not double the work, but multiplied expotentially) and so a lapse now and again should be expected…like you said, it is over so just move on :).

the best part of your post “it’s over, i’m moving on”.. that needs to be our motto all the time when it comes to dieting..there will be good days and bad.. all we can do is move on to the next day… :-)

Rene – You aren’t the first person to ask. I may add a feature on GreenLiteBites for school lunches this summer and then start in the fall. Thanks for the idea!

Besides being right there with you on Mac geekiness, I get the BAD nights, too. Monday night I ate two bowls of ice cream. (Ice cream, not cookies, is my vice.)

But just like you said, whatever, get over it and move on!

You don’t by chance want to sell your old MacBook, do you? My iBook G4 is on its last legs and I’m looking for an affordable replacement.

You really don’t want it. It’s a MESS! Broken USB drives, a crack in the screen. I REALLY beat it up.
