One Mom’s Journey from Fat to Skinny to Confident

Our Sensational Sunday

Today couldn’t have started out any better. It was just Little Bean and I…

You would think based on that picture he was a big grumpy bump but actually he warmed up after some baby talk by cheesy mom…

Soon big brother joined us for breakfast. We had Banana Oatmeal Cups amongst transformers. :)

The rest of the morning we straightened up, started the laundry, had some fun playing with video monitor.

I recorded an awesome video but I don’t have the time or energy to upload it. I’ll try to get it up this week. Maybe on PoopButterflies.

Late morning I took both boys to Aldi’s for some shopping. This time we remembered our reusable shopping bags!

I’m so proud of us as we normally forget them. If you are unfamiliar with Aldi’s check out video about it. It’s a great store for stocking up the pantry!

When we got back it was lunch time. I had leftover sausage, peppers and pasta. Little Guy had a grilled cheese.

After lunch the husband and I spent some time organizing the finances. We always do the bills together and since the baby we’ve been a bit off schedule with things. ‘

Once we were finished it was time for Science Sunday! The husband wants to do at least one Science experiment a week with Little Guy. Right now we are getting our ides from The Book of The Book of Totally Irresponsible Science. This week was the sandwich bag bomb. Your typical baking soda/vinegar trick.

I have a video of this as well but I can’t prep it right now. I need SLEEP!

On that note I’ll end with dinner…

I made some burgers and 20 Minute Roasted Potato Fries. It was a great summer meal. I just wish I had a GRILL.

The rest of the evening was devoted to our new night time routine with Little Bean. Here’s a shot of the husband doing a burping session.

He’s so cute! They both are. ;)

OK, got to go. I’m TIRED!

Look at Evans blonde fuzz! And I just love his faces!!

Do you have a take n toss with random transformer parts you find around the house too?

(random: is the code for the discount on vitatops still good?)

I will say that since you posted that sausage, pepper, and pasta “idea” a while back, I’ve made it many times and it is now my husband’s favorite dish that I make! :)

I love your Sensational Sunday posts :)

Question – which baby monitor model do you use? Do you have any personal opinions on the monitors you’ve used? I’m due to give birth soon and would like to purchase a new one. If you have the interest or time and could do a review with links, I may not be the only one to benefit :)

Which reminds me. On amazon they have “lists” – you make a list of something, like “Essential Baby Gear” and you comment on every item you list. I would be interested to see yours because you live a healthy and family-friendly lifestyle. And maybe the whole affiliate links thing will be beneficial for you too?

Anyway, feel free to ignore if you’re too busy for this kind of thing :) Thanks!

Little Bean is so darn cute! I love how babies respond to the sound of their mothers voice.

Looks like a wonderful family Sunday.

I use to forget my reusable bags but now I keep them in the car and I always have them when I need them.

You’re family is just getting more and more gorgeous. Also, when I grow up I want a pantry like yours! You should see mine, in fact, I am a little ashamed after seeing your!
