You aren’t hungry… you are STRESSED.

That leftover Easter Chocolate and The Husband’s chips are not going to make you feel better. They really aren’t. Grab a piece of fruit and move on.

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

I was fighting the chocolate monster as well tonight so I made your banana/cocoa sauce and dipped an apple in it. I’m not sure if it will work tomorrow though…those darn Reese’s peanut butter eggs are dangerous and still calling my name.

WOW you read my mind lol – I have been falling off the wagon depper and deeper the last two weeks and I am feeling it, mentally, emotionally and physically. I have weigh in today and I know the scale is going to be up a good 5lbs I can feel it in my clothes and my wedding rings – grrr 19lbs down so far and i KNOW I can do this but like you have been stressed to the max and need to learn how to control the eating aspect of that lol

But I am taking your advice and moving on – not beating myself up over it – I am GETTING BACK on track and cant go backwards to change the decisions I made!

So here is to a new day, a new week and a NEW ME!

    Thanks Roni!!!

It is hard to turn down chocolate.. I am a huge sweets person. But you just have to keep trucking!! I just want to say i did weight watchers and lost 60 pounds then went off ww and gained back 10. I have been making your recipes for the past couples months and let me just say that you are very inspiring. Keep it up its ok to have a piece of chocolate every now and then.. Btw your Banana oatmeal cups totally helped cup my sweet craving. Thanks.

Oh Roni, this is so true!! Its hard, especially when you’re at home and you KNOW its there. Unfortunately I fall victim during not only times of stress, but boredom, and those times can be frequent while at home and unemployed.
    Thanks for the reminder. :)

FRUIT FRUIT FRUIT! There, hope that helped :)
First, I’d like to say you’re awesome for even leaving Easter chocolate in the house for your family. I feel like such a meanie. I won’t let my DH keep chocolate or peanut butter in the house because I’m too weak!!!! There was a time he stored these treats in a high-up shelf but even that didn’t keep me away. If it’s not in the house I honestly don’t think about it. It makes going out for dessert once in a while so much fun.

Believe me my MIL gave us enough until doomsday. There no way even I COULD have finished it last week and the husband has been hitting it hard every night! It’s ridiculous.

I’m just reading this now but it’s funny- I was having a similar kind of day the other day -and a company I follow on facebook is doing a fundraiser with the Amer Heart Assoc and posted a link about stress management- it was like it was posted for ME. (https://www.facebook.com/hhgregg it is about halfway down on the wall where it posts the stress link). I hope it is ok I posted this here- I just thought there were some really good ideas- stuff we all know but forget sometimes as busy ppl. I think it is really cool that they are doing the donation for the AHA too (so LIKE ’em too :) it donates $1 to AHA for each new like for Mother’s Day)

Anyway- worth a read if you have time-between diaper changes and recipe creations :)

You are a WISE woman!!!!! And a strong woman! We weaker souls may have reached for the chocolate. Hope you are less stressed now and are having a good day.

Mine seems to be an “after work” stress reducer as well. Polished off the jelly beans last night…

I feel your pain! I’ve been trying to resist my boys’ chocolate leftovers and I think the reason it’s harder as time goes on is that our will power can only last so many days! I’m resisting along with you though!

If it’s wrapped candy you can put a bunch of it in a glass vase or mug with a bow on it and give it to your son’s teacher this week. (assuming your school is doing teacher appreciation this week of course)
