weight watcheres 10% keychain

Yesterday’s weigh in went better than I expected!

Down 2 to make it a total of 17.8 lbs in 9 weeks! That makes an average weight loss of just over 2 pounds a week. 12 more to go to reach my official Weight Watcher’s goal. Click here to see my progress since starting.

For those that don’t know, the picture above is the Weight Watchers 10% key chain. They give small trinkets for weight loss milestones like 10%, 16 weeks on plan, reaching goal, and becoming a lifetime member. It may be cheesy but I like the small rewards and actually keep my charms on my key chain all the time.

Other than the weigh in I don’t have much news to report. I’ve been TRYING to catch up on some sleep which is why I’m posting this a little late. It also took me 3 days to get the One Pot Butter Beans with Brown Rice and Optional Cumin Dusted Pork Chops up on GreenLiteBites.

Next week I’m running my first 5k event since having the baby. It’s the Bel Air Town run. This run is special to me. It was my first every 5k in 2008. I then ran it the next year beating my time more 6 minutes! Last year I missed it because we were on vacation but my plan is to run it yearly as a tradition to celebrate my running anniversary.

I’m setting no expectations on myself this year except to finish. I’m still finding my running groove post-baby. But next year? Next year I’m going to ROCK it! ;) I love challenging myself.

Today I’m in clean up mode and am looking forward to my Memorial Day Weekend Plans. ;)

Yesterday’s journal…

Food Notes
Uncle Sams with Almond milk I need to get this review up. Loving this cereal.
Leftover rice and means from last night dinner. I was really hungry mid morning. Decided to go with real food instead of just grabbing a snack.
McDs Asian Salad, some of the husband’s fries and ANOTHER cone. The husband strikes again! He wanted to go out for lunch. Has the Asian salad.. Oh My! so good!
Turkey Sausage with onion peppers and potatoes This was another one pot meal I made for dinner. Everybody ate again without complaint. I may have to make this again to post on GreenLiteBites.
Way TOO MANY popchips At this point I was eating to just stay awake. Bad, I know.
Activity

Walk to the park with Little Guy wearing the Little Bean. We took the long way. :)

Water/Vitamins
Much better in the water department.

Disclosure: Got free samples of Uncle Sams and PopChips at FitBloggin.

Way to go on the 2 pounds! I’m sure some people think I’m silly to say this but I WANT my charms….haha! I’m starting my 5th week on WW and loving it so far. Good luck on your 5K tomorrow and I think that’s a wonderful idea to run your very first race from years ago and do it every year as an anniversary. :)

  2. Nikki says:

Good work! I love the trinkets too! I just got my 10% last week, and I still have the one I got when I was on WW before becoming preggo.

  3. Congrats on the weight loss Roni! Two pounds a week is just right and you even had a loss with a very hectic week. Cheers to you!

I am all over the cheesy little trinkets! Gold stars, happy faces, ribbons-love it all! I don’t think we every out grow it.

Wishing you a splendid holiday weekend!

Great job on the two pounds! That’s wonderful especially considering you had the conference in there! I like your new food journaling method. I really might try it, especially since I also am not counting anything.
Question: Some time ago, you had a blog about blogging and then ended it when you started RoniNoone.com. Did you move all that content over to RoniNoone.com? You had done a post about how to create tables that I really liked, but now I can’t find it.

  5. roni says:

Yup. RoniNoone is my new blog about blogging even though it’s seen busier days. All posts were imported in. It should be there. Was it just about tables in general?? I can’t remember!

  6. Dana says:

    Congrats on the WW charm!

I’m not usually a fan of McD’s but it’s 1 block from my work so I’ve been getting the Asian Salad and love it. I even bought the Newman’s dressing to make my own Asian type salad at home.

Heading over to read GreenLiteBites post about One Pot Butter Beans – thanks for posting that so quick! I’m making sure the Uncle Sam’s Cereal is on my list.

  7. Laura Jane says:

Okay, I found the post I was thinking of, but it wasn’t specifically about html tables. You wrote two posts about html basics, and you linked to w3schools for more info. It was through your post and your link to w3schools that I learned how to create a table.

  8. Roz says:

BIG congratulations on the 2 lbs lost, and the WW charm!! Good luck in your race, and also hope you have a chance to get some R&R over the long weekend!!! All the best.
