Weekend Quote: So What.

19 Comments 1706 views

I love this quote becuase it just tells it like it is…

“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”
-Mark Victor Hansen

My favorite part of the quote is "So what"

You gained a little weight? So what.
Clothes getting tight? So what.
Don’t look like the airbrushed models in magazines? So what.
Used to weigh less? So what.
Had a slice of cake at an office party? So what.

Do I need to continue?

Nothing will ever be perfect. All you can do is move forward.

Here’s my food journal today. I started using eTools. It took me until now to figure out my monthly pass account. I actually had to call them to work it out. Other than that I’ve been hanging out with my parents. They came to visit the baby. Oh! which reminds me I posted "Never wake a sleeping baby" vs. Breast Feeding on Babble this afternoon.

Morning Weigh In: Didn’t get on today.
Food WWPP
1 Whole Grain Pancake 2
Sweet Potato Scramble 8
an apple with 2 tbsp of peanut butter 5
can of vegetable soup 3
pop corners (review coming soon) 4
Out to Japenese Steakhoue – ate half my plate of salmon, rice noodles and vegetables (estimated using eTools) 21
Total (right on target)
43
Conscious Activity: just a stroll after dinner with my parents

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Great quote. I am so in the “so what” game of life.
I just read your first babble, I didn’t know you “changed your mind”, although I remember reading a long time ago when you wrote about your tummy tuck that you said if you have another baby, basically “so what”. Now it all makes sense. Have I mentioned how cute he is? and that I love babies? will he be at Fitbloggin? I am sure there will be plenty of people to help hold him……yummy babies!

Excellent quote! I’ve got to get on the ball and start cooking more. Sigh. Not sure why I’m going to start now, I’ll be out of commission for a bit starting a week from Monday. I hope you’re having an enjoyable, relaxing weekend with your parents :)

I use the ‘so what’ but in a little different context.

I don’t want to exercise – so what?
I’m too tired – so what?
It would just be so much easier to go get a pizza – so what?

    You get the idea. :)

I’m having the same problem with signing up for E-Tools today! Can you or anyone else help me get logged on????? I only have a user name that starts with an “M” and it won’t accept it.

Sheri – Call the 800 number. You are suppose to have a password on your weight tracker but my receptionist stuck the wrong sticker on so I didn’t know what it was. When I called WW they gave me the password (all numbers–no M) over the phone. It let me right in when I put it in the password field.

I love your outlook on things, I screw up and then think I can never get back on track and then I see you screw up and you get back on the horse per say. That is the attitude that will get you where you want to be, mine will keep you where you are. thanks roni . I check your site daily for about two years now and I am just as excited to read your post as I was in the beginning.

Dee – It’s ok. I find it glitchy though. Use it more as a tool and keep my points in my own file.

Thanks, Roni. Your So What is just what I needed. My weight loss and my commitment to it are not what I wish it would be, but so what? I’m doing more than I used to do, and maybe I need to take it slow like this so I keep going. I’m not as commited as others…so what???

Love it! And you are 100% correct. Do not wait. Do it now and so what if it isn’t perfect?
