Day 2 on Weight Watchers and Babbling about the Baby

18 Comments 1683 views

I’m so excited to announce this I don’t know where to begin. A few weeks ago I was contacted by Babble.com about the possibility of blogging for them about Little Bean’s first year. I’m ecstatic about this opportunity as I don’t really have an outlet to write all about baby/parenting stuff and I don’t really have the time, energy, resources or desire to start yet another blog.

So this is the best of both worlds for me. Roni’s Weigh can regain some weight loss purpose and I get a space to write all about the babes without the overhead of managing a blog.

Today I shared my first post called, I Changed My Mind. Click here to check it out. You’ll also be able to keep track of all my posts on this page.

Besides that news all I have to share is my Day 2 Weight Watchers. I am RIGHT on target today which was an accomplishment considering I navigated dinner out and a trip to the candy store! Total NSV in my book. ;)

I’d love to hear your story or thoughts on mine.

However, to prevent the massive amounts of spam I was receiving I have turned off comments on any post older than 5 days old. If you'd like to leave me a note regarding this post or anything really try me on twitter (@RoniNoone,) my Facebook page, or even IG (@RoniNoone) I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I never thought I'd have to do this but it's gotten way out of hand and comment management has become simply too time consuming to manage.

Did you use the almond/flax butter from Trader Joe’s? I made it with my oatmeal the other morning with some all fruit jam- mmm it was like a pbj morning burst of awesomeness.

Yay! I’m loving these daily updates. Keep up the good work!

Do you know how I could get a direct feed to just your blog posts on Babble? I clicked the RSS feed button and that gave me ALL of the first year bloggers, then I had Google Reader generate a feed from “http://blogs.babble.com/babys-first-year-blog/author/roni/”, same thing. Is there a workaround or will I have to skim through to find you?

Love the new posts about Evan–I’ll definitely be following. Love following your journey to lose, too. I have had a tough couple of months and while I’ve maintained, my loss has stalled. I know this will help get me back on track :).

Roni, I have been a follower of yours since the ‘weightwatchen’ days back when you just started. You have always been such an inspiration to me, and helped me lose the baby weight (60lbs). I now have a total of 3 kids, and I am so glad you decided to have another one. I always thought you had such a fun mothering style and your children are blessed to have you as their mother! Congratulations on Evan- he is so beautiful and perfect and tiny :o) I am inspired yet again by you- since returning to work full-time I have gained 10lbs (in a year and a half) and want to try to get it back off. I read your post this morning and thought to myself if Roni can stay OP with a newborn I have no excuses! Thank you for always coming through for us with those motivating words! :o) Here we go!!!

I love that you’re posting so much about your return to WW. I’m planning to return myself in a few months. And I’m excited to read all about your baby too, b/c I’m expecting my first in July!

Dear God you make me want to have another baby!!! Only if I turned up preggo I (or the urologist) would have a whole lot of explainin to do to my husband! I will just enjoy my two old (7 and 9 yrs) boys and live vicariously through you. I think I’ll get more sleep this way! :)

It’s the breadless, boneless ones. They are called “naked” nut not grouped with the wings. It’s nice to have a non-fried option there as my husband loves the place!

I have been following you for years now, I get a lot out of your blog. I’m very excited for you that you’re expanding your family but I do appreciate that you are committed to making this blog a place mainly for health and wellness related stuff. For those of us without kids and just looking for tips on weightloss or maintenance I think it will continue to make everything more relatable. Not that I’m opposed to updates on the kids, I’m just sayin’! :)
